I see a lot of people on here asking if the pes3 rip will work with the swap method to boot (no mod)

If you use tutorial in the sticky to rip your original dvd to cd you will end up with a patchable image of 704mb, i think this is why people think maybe it wont boot as you can only boot 633mb with nomod chip.

However when you burn the image you will end up with a TOC of only 613mb, this is also after patching with the jonboyos patch (130mb ish).

SO the answer is yes it will boot with just the swapmethod and nomod chip required.

So creative, have you tried it with the slide card I presume. I had a problem as it gets stuck after the blue screen.

all of my CDR games boot up in a red screen using swap magic cd v3. They all work fine.

If I'm using the DVD swap magic they go blue before booting.

Sorry ive not got swapmagic so cant really help, but shouldnt you be using the swapmagic cd not the dvd?

Also i know theres a thread somewhere for booting with swapmagic, maybe they can help better

Those swap/slide card/donknowwhatanysortof metods running game copys are dubious. Todays modchips are far better and for reasonable price - so why ?

Jag, Raish is right. I use a silver ps2, slide card and swap magic cd v3 no problems.

When you do the final slide using the slide card, press x on the joypad and for a second or two you get a red screen. After that it loads no problems, trust me, if you havent taken the front panel off do so it works.

Alternatively wait until your warranty runs out and get it chipped, im gunna do that in about 6 months.

Hope this helps you. I was really sceptical about taking panel off i think i even contacted you about it, but i got inundated with people from another website saying they had done it.

nobody should have problems using the swap magic V3 cdr if they have a v1 to v7 console, i have heard on other boards that some people v9-v10 consoles have problems but that a small percentage.

you may wish to note that there is also a downloadable cdloader program which boots more problematic rips such as NBA Street, SWAT etc. But PES3 should boot no problems if u've patched and burned at x1 speed and on decent media.

The only problem with swap magic is that it cant boot DVD games larger that 4.35gb and cdr above the 632mb mark. However, Pro Breaker can be used to boot cdr games in con-junction with swap magic to boot above 632mb, but thats another £20 or so.

I would recommend getting a flip top, its really convenient over the swap trick method.

there's not that many dvd games bigger than 4.45 but just so happens the quite a few decent ones like GTA3 and timesplitters are amongst them. I'll find out if u can boot them......................

Creative or anybody else who may be able to help, how do you use the slide card in conjunction with dvdregionx??

ive managed to make my own slide card and ive got dvdregionx so can i use that as a boot disk?

You can only boot cdrs with dvdx so if its the pes3 rip you'll be fine

Boot up dvdx and wait for the "select region " page to load, you'll hear the disk stop spinning, at this point do the swap for your backup, when you've swapped press the Start button on your controler and you backup will boot

Can u show me how to do it wiz pictures (if u dont mind) and do u leave it out, las time i tried the two things on the side chipped off but i got a new one cos i lied in GAME SAYIN IT JUS FELL AND THEY FELT 4 IT.
