Slowdown problem is because of Install data... i think

right i have been doing some experimenting with PES2008 on the PS3.

When i first started the game i chose to install the data to the HD.
I started having problems with the game crashing or taking forever to load on the loading screen right before a game starts.

I also had a lot of slowdon and juttering during corners and when the screen became full of players, also during replays, my PS3 even crashed when the player was celerbrating a goal and there was a close up shot of this.

I was very much annoyed at this time and i could see why there were a lot of bad reviews concerning the slowdown.

So what i did next was to DELETE the data file which was created when i installed the game.
Problems solved.

I had near to no slowdown during the game, there may have been a small bit here and there just like there was in PES6 for PS2 but nothing like before, the load screens also loaded in good time with no crashing or freezing.

I would like someone else to give me their views on the "Install data" feature on this game and if you notice a difference or not, i think you will find you will.

I rekon the reviews that said the slowdown was really BAD installed the game data, and the reviews that say the slowdown isn't that bad didn't bother to install the game data.

thanks

I Installed the data from the off, no slowdowns in game at all, however on the intital goal replays there are signs, it sorts itself out once it changes angle though.

i basically DIDN'T install the game.

DON'T install the game and it was a lot smoother with barely noticable slowdown, however there are still many people saying that they have better results when they install the game on to the hard disk

i got to installed the data nad played the game and it doestn really seem ti improve...then i took the install data of i deleted it and it dint make any differance..to be honest i dont think it makes any differance cos i tried same games in same conditions with data installed an non installed and its just the same more or les....in game in some stadiums it has tha classic slowdown every pro has...in replays and stud it has slowdown especially in wider angles with many players..so those ho enjoy watching replays and celebrations very much well will be diaaspointed maybe..other than that the game is just brilliant and super smooth in frame and animations..its waht u play that counts not if the replay has frame issues

do be honest i think the entire data install on the hdd of the ps3 matters in games were is obligatorry...like in heavenly sword or call of duty...in pro either you do it or not it just doesnt make anything look differant.i tried some online but it plays terribly for now cos i think servers arent running still propaly so it was jaggy

in another thread a guy said he called konami and they said it will be adressesd the slowdown with a patch? of some sort in due time..lets see. but like i said the data install doesnt really do much...i have a samsung lcd with hdmi cable. i think we just have to wait for a patch if they say so

i played the game off the disk direct the first time and was shocked due to the slow down. i then installed it onto my HDD, the slowdown is very minimal now...only occurs on corners and in the middle of the pitch...if there is an update for Pro Evo 2008. I think it will be via the Playstation Network where you download a "patch". I cant see it happening automatically, probably a download and then it performing the update automatically :).

did call konami but they wernt to convincing he did say there will be a patch in first 2 weeks but he said it would change automatically and he didnt really seem 2 convince me. I encourage others 2 call and put more pressure and see if they get the same answer.

Well I'm going to have to try this method because I installed it straight away and the slowdown has been atttttttrrocious

konami just ceeps discovering problems on ps3. when in network it lags so terribly its insulting at least for now...and they have a message that they have discovered problems on the ps3 network or somethink like that and are working hard (whatever) to solve them...its a ps3 not like the great mistery of the earth....its a games machine for crying out loud
