Slowly losing patience with PES2010, need help...

Ok so following on from my last post about headers (i still havent quite got the hang of them btw) heres my new plea for help.

I want to know if theres a way to edit the game to either make the AI more adventurous on Professional or make it tougher to beat on Average difficulty.

My problem is a strange one. When I play games on Average its about as exciting as watching paint dry, the AI puts up very little resistance and the rare occasion they manage a shot at goal is usually cause Ive lost concentration through boredom.
Even exerting zero effort i tend to win 4 or 5 nil on average, 10 or more nil if i bother trying (not boasting here as you find out if you read on)

So I notch the difficulty up to professional assuming that the skills learned on average are of some use and will at least allow me to scrape by in most matches against inferior teams and win by 2 or maybe 3 goals if i really play well... not so Ive found.

Problem is on professional the AI just endlessly passes the ball around in a frankly ridiculous and very boring fashion, they rarely progress beyond the half way line and when i put them under any pressure they back pass it all the way to defense and start again.
I swear often ive resorted to letting them have attacks just so I can get the ball back.

Add to that the fact that on Professional the AI gets away with some shocking fouls and seems twice as strong and fast as me and I end drawing way to many games, I can just about beat inferior teams but even then the games are dull and tedious with 3 or 4 chances for me and maybe 1 for them if they are lucky.

I dont want easy street, ideally id like something between average and professional, or average but with increased attacking power or professional but not so accurate at passing and holding the ball.

Is there any way to achieve this without downloading anything by editing the data of the game or am I missing something, someone please help... after drawing with Bahrain and Ecaudor today with Holland in two of the most boring games ive ever played (one game contained 1 single shot from me all game none from them) I actually contemplated swapping this for fifa10 something ive never done before since the first pes on the PSone.

Im not whining and fully accept i probably suck at the game, but really if anyone knows a way to either lower pro difficulty slightly or improve average difficulty id be forever in your debt.

You are going to hate Top Player. No matter which team you play against, they all hold the ball like Barcelona. Your only option is WE 2010. It has Superstar difficulty. You can go through and edit all teams strategies so that they attack more, but that's about it, outside of WE of course.

Im on top player and im finding it fine, had a champion league game against real madrid ended up 5-3 to them had a game against stoke at the bottom ov the table at ther pitch and managed to scrape a 1-0 win, played villa and earned a draw, for me im finding that they pass around alot but go forward when you make mistakes or move out ov position

BTW i play 15min games

just play in the master league. Konami scripts the game so its almost impossible to beat certain teams at certain times during the league. It took me 16 times to beat man city with bolton in ML first season. I had easily beat all the other teams and i was sitting in first place of the table but the AI made it impossible to beat them. I made a breakthrough by hitting a long distance power shot. These games are strangely satisfying.

As for Ai not attacking, I have found that they always do. I haven't adjusted anything on top player. But maybe I am not as good as you all on the forum.

When the AI decides to put to you sleep, use the strategy called pressure. They're forced to bring the ball up or risk losing it to a 1 on 1. Most teams have it by default. If they don't have it you can always set it as 1 of the strategies. Make sure to turn it off eventually, you don't want it on the entire match.

Basically change the team auto tactics or w/e in edit mode for all the teams in your lleague and use the assist settings in the formation menu to change how your team plays in the flick of a switch. They are really effective.
