So lets hear the truth, how would you rate PES 2012 ( ppl who played it alot by now )

The trouble I have in rating something like this depends purely on what I play it on. In trying to create a sim-like game the game is rubbish, I don't think KONAMI meant for the game to be played -2 slow play etc on any platform. So in relation to PES being a sim and re-creating sim settings to get the game to play like that it isn't great, so I'd give it 6 or 7 out of ten.

But if I just want a football blast, then it's pre patch, PS3 gamespeed 0 every day of the week, suddenly the game becomes a 8 or 9 out of ten.

What I'm trying to say is that I don't think the game is meant to be played like a slow sim, tons of people here are getting really frustrated because that's they way they want the game to play like, however I believe the Seabass and KONAMI intended this game to be attacking, aggressive and fast. If that's what you want then it's a super game.

8 for me I like playing offline -2 speed on SS
, since I've got the hang of defending I'm enjoying it more and more the only assistance I have is tackle hard. I think it's a challenging game and I've spent a lot of time playing it, editing it as well which I enjoy. Something rewarding about all that, even though it's a pain in the ring piece.

Most importantly it Keeps me entertained and really that's what I look for in a sports game.

I just said that a few might not really played throughly or maybe they have a bit of a different definition of ratings, for example for me a 8 is a game that is absolutely amazing and I love to play it, but still needs one or two improvements to be perfect, pes is not that for sure for most, maybe a minority, yet the poll shows differently.

So maybe the definitions are a bit different for some.

Why do a poll if you don't like the results, the majority of people thing the game is very good, so deal with it.

Well after trying the demo and then a 360 version I wasnt impressed so much so that (and this is 1st time) got a torr**** version and .... im gland i didnt shell out I dont like this at all 2011 was far better the silly arcadey dribbling goals going in far too easily players with the ball on normal dribble outpacing defenders ALL OF IT UNREALISTIC

Ive played this game from year dot and considering its development line this is the WORST version bar none some features are nice but with a game engine as poor as it is I dont really give a monkeys

Im sticking with my slowed down 2011 version with smoke patch it is miles better

I mean this is the first time in football game i felt like i am in controll and i im playing with 11 other players.the Intelligence of the players are so good.of course there are small issues but no other game can come even close.and the depth of football you can play with it is amazing.

r u freaking kidding? the gameplay is horrible and even though it's my 1st season online, it's just not even vaguely acceptable. the physics of the ball after a challenge has been made are just crazy. Konami didn't pay attention to this minute detail for online play, like Japanese usually do? what's up with that....

well some of the losses i incur upon myself are because i am playing online without a controller. just my PC keyboard. and i am at fault sometimes for pressing the wrong key by accident i.e. when i am certainly about to score into the roof of the net. yeah but no excuses, everytime someone challenges the opponent the ball bounces 20 yards in the direction that the challenger was going. goodness.

to the quoter up above: u must be playing with a PS3 or a recently-bought PC..

2bh i can only rate it 5.. konami seems like to add 1 or 2 things in the new game and took out 1 or 2 things from the previous game
yea graphic improve every year and the game play DID improve BUT JUST A LITTLE BIT!!
i cant complain much about ML cause i only play a little bit of ML when im bored and i play a lot of BAL..
maybe pes2022 BAL will get the same rate as ML according to their progress each yr(i rate ML 7or8/10 and BAL 2or3/10 so overall 5/10)
anyway it is just my opinion and 2 me they tend to listen a bit or they try their best 2 ignore most of us and thats it

well said, its so much better than 2011 once u get a feel for it, the variety of goals i am now scoreing is amazing, they have made a huge improvement yet agian this year

I rated it 8, I've hated PES since the PS2 days, I used to love it and think they ruined it since it went to next gen, so I turned to FIFA, but this year PES imo is good again, and getting back to where it once was, sure a few problems/bugs that need working on, but all in all an amazing game. And I think alot of people think that thats why it's getting good ratings.

Its not getting good ratings, on pro evo web they are major complaints. Reviews give it at best 8 or 8.5 somewhere, somewhere else it also got 6 or similar.

In this thread 22% of the ppl voted 6 or less , 22% voted 7, thats not something you expect from a great game.

Most agree it has alot of issues and bugs, im talking about the current version ofc, it can all change in the future with further patches but we're talking about the current version.
And current version is arcadish and its a joke if you call it a simulation, it looks nothing like real soccer, hopefully this 1.02 patch fixes this, I can hope right?

It's a good game, but should probably have been released after further qc testing. Forget trying to go head to head with FIFA and get the game close to perfect prior to release.

Its still early days as all PS3 football games have had major issues with longevity, mostly due to scripting.
At this point in time, even with its many many faults, I currently rate it as the best football game to date (and Ive had most of them). Not everything about it, but as a whole package.

Only time will tell if the faults and scripting end up frustrating me so much I start disliking it. But currently, seeing as I prefer football games above any other genre and this is my favourite football game to date. This game is my favourite game of all time.

So why only 8? Or even 7.5?
It still has so many issues that seem like they could be easy to remove, iron out etc etc but for some inexplicable reason, haven't.

But generally, I like it.

only around 50 ppl voted. and konami sold way more games then that. mayby 5% of ppl that bought this game are on the forums. the rest is not. they eighter like it or dont

I'm not having a go or anything but in all your posts i don't recall you saying anything positive about pes 2012.

That's perfectly fine as it's your opinion and your welcome to it. The thing is WITH prolonged play on pes 2012 it really is a superb soccer sim. This is my opinion and i'm sticking with it, with this gameplay patch it's playing very very good.

Yes i know there are flaws here and there, but for me i don't look to deeply into them. It's a computer game at the end of the day and it certainly satisfies my footballing needs, well along with sky sports eh?.

You can basically run this game as fast or as slow as you require, i can slow the game down as much as is needed with intricate passing and hold up play.

Maybe at the end of the day pes 2012 is just not the game for you, i believe the majority of people having issue's with pes 2012 are the people who are struggling to learn how to play it.

For me it's absolutley sublime at times. great stuff.

the game speed is fine for me, only when you play with or against a speed team type in MLO that it is too fast, otherwise game speed is spot on
