Everyone was crtisising it it when it first came out, now uve all had time to get used to it, what r ur opinions now!!!, is it better than pes3

Its absolutely awesome. There are some minor things I could nit pick at, but as a whole its an improvement over WE7.

pro evolution soccer 4 will be the best game ever made trust me yea ur rite^^^ the little improvements make the game awesome aswell i.e cut scenes when player being substitued and when players take corners!

ye, you gotta wonder why it was allowed to be released with such terrible slow down in it, it can really affect my enjoyment sometimes, now i play all my games in the monaco stadium with no commentary just to get round it. as for the patching, i just wish someone would put out a patch with totaly correct team sheets (there hasnt been one yet with all transfers) especially for the likes of rangers and celtic. I mean juninho is a world cup winner, moved from a good premiership team and its not been implemented yet!?, and as for the rangers team its a total joke(in more ways than one i guess) players who left the club months ago are still there. I am currently downloading the ole patch but im not going to hold my breath about all the content. for a patch all i want is correct teams, norwich etc instead of leeds, levante in etc (no goalies up front) and correct strips. All the rest (chants etc) should be added after everything else is done in my opinion

Oh yeh but the game is absolutely brilliant and beats all other versions hands down. as always there are minor niggles, but when there arent there will be no point in making any new ones.

So most people this year think that pro evo will be better then winning eleven. Last year it was the other way round, im sorta disapointed in that as ive joined the WE club :(

ye but last year WE only had more balls and like 1 or 2 slight changes to the gameplay so it was a close one, if pes4 is the sam as WE8 without slowdown then it will be cristened the best footy game in the world and europes pride will be restored.

fixing the slow down of the game

to fix the slow down of the game is soooooooooo easy. all u do is set the commentary 2 level 1 and va va voom. there u go. no more slow down or even better switch it off.

Slow downs tend to happen during corners when there is a lot of people in the box.

Personally I like it, especially when playing against mates as this slow mo effect draws us in more as we scream at the TV for the player to head it in, or save it.

Well, the game has more good things than bad things, but let me try to sum up the good and bad points that are important to me. I give it a rating from 1-10 for importance for me...
GOOD:
  • The Master league: much improved 7
  • CPU's AI: Its is much better, smarter, in attack AND defence 8
  • Passing: Fantastic new long pass using :x: 9

BAD:
  • The dribbling: You can make too many easy turns without losing control 9
  • The game is too fast 7


BTW Zygalski, what is in that Olé patch? I hope it does not remove the Dutch competition? Where can I download it fast? Lomungtung is a bit slow....

the most annoying thing ive found is some of the decisions, my players get body checked big time and a foul aint given i then run alongside the cpu and apply gentle pressure. Free kick.

It drives me mad!

Dont like the shooting much either to hard to get power in it from outside the box. Might just be me though.

yeh as to the foul thingy, in the master league at least i think it tries to give the home team advantage. so if your at home you get away with more bodychecks etc, but away from home sometimes you cant even go near a player without giving awaya foul. Personaly i dont like it much, but i think they thought it wuold make it more realistic.

yusufkhan: Yes, you can reduce slowdown in exhibition matches but I'm playing ML and it is quite bad there as you can't change the settings.

Here we go again: People imediately think PES4 will be better than WE8. The person who started this thread said it. What makes you believe that PES4 will be better. PES3 sucked a$$ compared to WE7. Japan & Konami make better games for their own market.

Things like no slowdown and online playability :)))))))

And by the way, PES4 (except being little faster than WE8) is virtually WE8 without slowdown, at least on the xbox, not interested in PS2 version at all...

I played my first soccer game back in 1988! And have played every single title that has ever come out since. I live in Australia but I am soccer CRAZY! The best game has been by far The WE7 International on PC until WE8. It has excellent playbility as you all know, but I am dissappointed about the graphics, there are slowdowns with no improvement to the graphics. It might just be me, but I think in fact that PES3 on Ps2 has better graphics. But The playability on WE8 wins hands on, cant wait for PES4 and especially the PC version with the enhanced graphics.
