Sorry, but I have to ask - What do OFs contain?

I'm aware there are probably a thousand threads scattered about with various aspects of what I'm asking, but don't refer me to them.

Now then, today I finally ordered a max drive (hooray!). Things I want to know are:

1. Best thingy to put on the max drive to put on the PS2. (Im guessing that PESfan one)

2. Can I get better balls, boots and such for my PS2 game via max drive?

3. If not how..


Once again I apologise and I'm sure there are plenty more questions to come from me, most of which have been asked before. Please take in mind that I have no knowledge of computers, files or anything of the like.

Can't answer your first question as I don't have one but you cannot get new boots, balls etc. via an option file. You will have to patch your game to get those.

Imagine the option file containing only the things YOU edit in the game itself. Player names, team names, stadium names, wether a player wears a certain kind of boot etc.

I know, it's beautiful. And it's where you get to mock my lack of editing knowledge.

I was fearing the patching side, I know these things aren't exactly nessercery, and look damn hard and expensive on the PS2, what with chipping it and everything...

I think I'll just stick to the max drive stuff for PES4, I might buy PES5 for both PS2 and PC, much easier to edit on PC. Right? :innocent:

Lot easier, although you can buy magic swap disks for PS2 that will take the expense out of chipping it.

I do all my editing on an Xbox version, it's chipped etc.

Right, well I need more people to tell me which patch is better from Watsons or PESfan. And then I'll be happy.*

Try the PESfan first if u like it u can keep it if not use watson's.

Watson's file is a great update but only for national teams. The pesfan updates all of the default teams but there's not much work on stats. I'm guessing PLF's option file will be quite good when it's out.

Excellent. I shall use the PESfan one until then I think, unless the PLF patch comes out when I get this max-drive.

It doesn't look like it, unless you patch the game as well.

riotts Patch from PESFan sounds good, its based on the PESFan V1.0 but with improved stats and upto date transfers.

Yeah for my thing you need to patch game because it's not just option file and if you put only the option file, it'll mess up your data. so if you can't patch your game, then I recommend Riot!
