also got a question wid BAL, can u develop doing skills such as the flick flack, and 360 roulette turn ect.

Assuming that the "skills" are the same as the positions, then it would take several matches with stats above X amount before you can learn a skill. Eg you would need 80+ dribbling to flip/flap 90+ dribbling for roulette turn etc. And doing these moves during matches would result in the special skills getting awarded.

Special skills is awarded after the necessary stat goes 80+ with regard to your style of play. I love to dribble the ball A LOT, so when my dribble speed and dribble acc got past 80 i got dribbling and tactical dribbling. The most useful special skill i think is playmaker, because as its description says, when the playmaker has the ball, everybody is positioned better to receive pass --> making it easier make the best assist.

It's so silly that they do it this way. It's like if you don't have a playmaker on the ball then the rest of your team are like "Lad's, he's not a playmaker, run and hide behind the nearest defender!". It should affect the playmaker's position instead, so he finds space in the hole between the midfield and defence more consistently, and from there gets the space to play the killer final ball.

I envy you man :happy: . However, i prefer 1-on-1 rather than scoring. What did you do to get it? At what age?

Special skills that i would like to get but likely will not get is "outside of the boot". You know that our weak foot freq and acc is 4 and never improved, so this special skill will make up for it. I don't know how to get it btw.

p.s.: Does anybody has that official pes 2009 guide that you can buy? Someone kind enough to share its contents about BAL and/or special skills?

its very easy to score you know. all you do is keep changing direction (diagnolly) and you eventually get in a position where you have about 90% of scoring, even tho your stats suck.

I got Playmaker last season, I kept getting brought on at half time in CM/DM position (despite being an AMF) and noticed i picked up the tick. Have been trying to get others (such as Covering when i was playing DM i would fill gaps where needed) but no luck yet :s

I read in another Post in The BAL FAQ's Thread that when you get your:

:-Technique:(Dribbling)
:-Technique:(Kicking)
:-Technique

All to a certain level you can learn 3 Special Skills

The other1 is learnt from another stat, but i can't find the post anymore, but it's theres somewhere.

I was teamed up with a guy on legends lastnight "gunman" he has about 6 ticks and vg stats he is however 26 in the game so that might well explain it.
