Speed Dash Problem with 360 Analog stick

I just got the game and love it so far. However, whenever I use the speed dash and try to run in a straight direction with the analog stick, my player will occasionally stop, pretending like he's about to turn a different direction before going again, and it is getting more and more annoying. When I use the directional pad, this never occurs. Is the analog stick just really sensitive, causing the player to screw up the run even with the slightest change in degrees? Anybody else have this problem?

It's messing up a great game alright, and I don't like using the directional pad. Any PS3 users have this problem?

Edit: I just looked into pages 2 and 3 of this forum and the people here are apparently calling it the "running bug". I hope Konami is making a patch to fix this.

haven't ran into that one on PS3 after first night of playing but bothered by a situation where I had my back to a defender and when that defender moved into me both were locked and began to shutter. Took over a full second for them to disengage and I had no control of moving my player away. For just an instant I thought I was going to witness full meltdown.

I have the same running bug in the 360. I am going to try and use the D-pad to see if there's a difference. I hope Konami makes an effort to fix this.

Yeah very hard to play when you can't use this sprint option at your disposal... I REALLY HOPE they fix it, but knowing Konami they probably won't. I hope I am wrong.

Hello, I had the same problem. I was using a component cable with a resolution of 1080i and I have the running bug. But without changing any other configuration inside the game I put a HDMI cable with 1080p and the bug disappeared. I can't find any logical reason for this but it works for me...

This mess needs more attention in the forum: Xbox version is broken!

the "running bug" or "sprint bug" only appears for the 360 users. I'm surprised that this hasn't received more attention on the forum since it's a big BIG game breaker. Apparently it only affects the first controller though, so if you have three controllers you should be safe. Anyways, can't understand how Konami missed this, absolutely ridiculous.

Of course I don't know for sure, but my bet is that Konami won't fix this ( judging by how they handled game breakers in the past).

talk about a sales killer - there are posts, youtube videos, etc, etc. They should have fixed this while the units were still on the boat. Absolutely horrible customer service.

I read on another site that changing your XBox setting to 1080p solves the problem. I tried it and it works!

when I put it to 1080p the screen gets cut in half... I can't do that. I have it on 1080I :S

I'm having the same problem. Switching to 1080p isn't an option for me because my TV can only handle up to 1080i, and I only have one controller so I can't assign it to player two.

I updated to version 1.01 and it's still there. Here's a video I took for those wondering what it looks like:
