Why is that pumping spring isn't giving me distance between touches, its just stuck to their feet. Is this a bug?

What do you mean? R1 sprint, R1+R2 boost? or Tap R1 sprint?

I mean tapping R1...a lot of times I get a fast break and I'm tapping the hell out of this button and he's just dribbling normal.Or the most I will get is one touch and then back to normal.

I guess it's timing. I don't use it very much, but when I tap R1 3 times it works pretty good.

I think there is a delay in the time the player last touches the ball and when a double R1 knock on actually works. and I am talking milliseconds. I think it is buggy. I have complained about this since day 1. Although I have learned that timing better, and get better responses now, I still miss out on a knock on every now and then. Poor controls.

Konami can easily fix that or just move it to the right stick like Fifa. Well now I know.

I have the same problem, as the controls seem buggy and it's just impossible to break away. It's the same with tackling. Every time you make a tackle you either miss the ball or foul the player, which is damn right annoying.

tap once just as your player touches the ball, and you push the ball ahead, tap twice and you push it further, and three times is the Bale style "thump and run".

It must be buggy. When you sprint away from the defenders it works fine. But when you sprint in the direction of a goal it doens't work.
