Sorry but changing your tv settings has no bearing on how the game plays. It might look better or worse but it wouldn't sort out a run bug.

Sorry, but changing your tv settings has nothing to do with it. It has to do with changing the xbox output setting and it does affect the bug. I know this first hand because it worked in my case.

Can you post the procedure that worked for you? for me the only one that works for offline play is activating a 2nd controller first and then using the other controller... real pain in the arse but what else can I do?

For some people switching to 720p does the trick but not for me unfortunately. :realmad:

I think I already explained the procedure, but again: the xbox has system settings, under that menu there is a display setting. under the display setting select 1080p and then play the game. i rechecked the game with the 720p setting and the run bug reappeared. switched to 1080p and it was gone.

When I switch to 1080p the image is cut and distorted... i have the old 60GB xbox and have a samsung LCD 40 inch TV. :realmad:

UPDATE= I just researched online and found out my tv only runs up to 720p (I bought in 2007 and still love it) but for some reason It can run 1080I? weird.
Also, I checked the pes 2012 game case and it says it runs 720p/1080i/1080p so it SHOULD work but it imply does not.

I really enjoy this game and mostly play it online now due to this bug offline but I HOPE konami fix this game... I can't believe they would realease a broken game like this.

This kind of reminds me of a game breaking bug on Ashes cricket 2008. When trying to play a ball off your pads into the leg side your batsman would try an almighty hook, missing the ball by several feet and being plum lbw everytime!!!!

This was evident after the first day of release. I am sad to say it was never patched.

Lets hope Konami do a better job than transmission/codemasters in this regard.

Are you using a HDMI cable?

Yes I am. but if my tv does NOT support 1080p, can I still buy a HDMI cable that supports 1080p and it would work? Or waste of money/time?

My tv is not 1080p either, but my xbox is a newer kinect model. maybe there is auto conversion happening. my tv is a panasonic tc-L32X2. not sure if format makes a difference but mine is NTSC (United States)

Mine is an samsung model LN-T4053H. Perhaps the HDMI cable I have does not support 1080p? or the xbox? ugh this sucks.
