Step by Step fix to Import Data Freeze

Im pretty sure you guys know all this info already, but here it goes:

I been able to import most of my data From 2012 to 2013, and i ran into the dreaded Freeze bug, but hopefully these notes help out:

* Freeze bug:
This happens if you already have the data pack installed. It will not happen if you didnt install it. The reason for this are the unassigned boots, nothing else Ive managed to play and edit perfectly if i dont have the patch and i have correct boots. Here's how you can fix it:

1) CRITICAL: DO NOT download the datapack just yet!

2) Import your 2012 Data. This might take a while

3) Identify the unassigned boots
From a glance, they look like Heritage III boots (all black). If you go to edit and go to accessories, instead of showing the name "PES Heritage III", it will be all blank. Change these to any of the existing boots. You might have to do this to every player you imported. As a simple rule that made my life easier, if yuo see colored boots, then they are fine. if you see all black, make sure they are not unassigned. THIS is where the freeze bug occurs if you already downloaded the datapack

4) Optional hair fix: Go ahead and use base copy to get the pre-set hairstyles on all the players that need it (only internal editor hairstyles will transfer over...if you used a pre-set player's hairstyle, it will either be bald or a random internal editor hair). You dont need to do this right now, you can do it after the final fix

5) Optional Verify Uniform: Altough the faces didnt change, some uniform parameters did. So some kits will have sleeve and shorts line altered. Correct this (again, this part is optional at this point)

6) Export: Critical: MAKE SURE ALL UNASSIGNED BOOTS ARE CHANGED! once this is done, Export your team if you got all changes you need. You can leave hair and uniform for later, but boots MUST be assigned. If they are not assigned, you will just have the same issue and have to start over again

7) Dowload the datapack I recomend deleting all data before this.

8) Import your teams Now they should work




Tips for easier time:
* Create a different Playstation session and use that OF to play around and export your teams, that way you wont mess your main one

* Some players might not be imported. Pre set players are fine, but the likeness wont be imported (stats, name and parameters will, i THINK body parameters as well). You can use this as a base to facebuild

* A lot of classic players wont be imported. This is because 2012 had a lot more classic players than 2013. I recomend to base copy those in 2012, create a team with the base copy players registered in it, and this should allow you to import then to 2013. Once in 2013, you may base copy those created to generic free agents if you wish to free those slots

*i also would create a team with all the facebuild players i wanted to import, get them on 2013, base copy the likeness to teh original players, and delete the imported ones

*when importing from 2012, if you can, dont import the uniforms. Specially if you have 400, this is what takes the longest. I have 453 uniforms and 20 created stadiums, it takes me over 2 hours to import this. When i did it without importing uniforms and without stadium parts (i deleted them in my other OF) it took me maybe 15 minutes

*unless you have the same lineup, i dont recomend exporting and importing national teams. Just not worth the trouble of all your lineup changing and losing some players

* if it sounds like a lot of work, it is, never said it was easy, but it sure as hell beats months of frustration cause you gotta recreate EVERY lil thing you had in 2012! ive managed to import all 7 national classic teams and 15 created classic teams in 3 days, rather than 3 months it took me to build them (dont have as much free time due to work :p)
