First of all, great post from Rama78 ... Thank you.
Secondly, no game is perfect. There are still secondary AI issues that needs to be sorted as with some of the cases in GK, Referees or whatever else you want to call it.
BUT,
Konami gave us the option to tweak and play with the game the way we want it to be. If i decided to play with Barcelona for example, with no Manual nor Automatic Assisted Settings, the game flow will be boring and dull in various matches (depending on who you're playing with ofcourse). Even if you're loosing with a goal or two, with the default team settings, i think it will take you ages to bounce back and equalise since the AI are set to the same default tactics.
Guys, you all have to know that you can't just depend on the AI to do everything for you ... Use the Auto Assisted Settings or the Manual Strategies Konami gave you to customise your play the way you want it to be ... I honestly couldn't stand playing PES2010 if those options weren't available in the game. Take advantage of those tools and you'll see how this will change your game play experience ...
In my opinion, Assisted Settings is made for beginners who want the AI to behave realistically based on the auto settings you put. It can still make a difference and win you a match.
From my experience, playing with the Manual Strategy System i.e L1+X, O ...etc etc is the best thing to improve your game play and AI .. you can change your playing formation up to 2 different styles within the game plus the option to choose from 2 different game tactics as well i.e All out Attack, Pressure, CB Overlap, Offside ..etc etc
Both Auto Assisted Settings and Manual Strategic settings do actually have a great AI effect , you will see the difference ....
To those who moan about AI, Konami gave you all the options to customise your team and players the way you want it to be in order to have a great Football experience ... If you decide not to use those tools, then sorry my friends, maybe you might want to open you're own company and put the AI the way you want it to be as a default setting ...
If you get to the level of changing the settings to manual and use formation changing while playing, along side the in-game tactics, you will then realise how beautiful Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is ...
By that time, you will even forget that FIFA10 exists in this universe.
Peace ..
