SUPER Hard & Soft Free Kicks

Hi,

Is 2012 still the same as 2011 that when you want to kick the ball SUPER Hard during free kicks you hold "UP" & "Triangle" at the same time?

And for SUPER Soft it's "Down" & "Cross"?

when you are close in the box, hold down shoot then pass(x for ps3) to do an over the wall dipping free kick. Or if it is too powerful try pressing down. If you are far out, use a knuckleshot or press triangle. Using up can become a problem as they aren't that hard anymore.
Knuckleshots can be tooken when you shoot, press shoot again just before you shoot the ball

I haven't scored one free kick yet in this game, any tips anybody?

1.Hold the shot button until the power bar is halfway.
2.
- If you are on the edge of the box hold X (or A on xbox). Keep holding until the ball is kicked.

- If you are far from the box, hold triangle (or Y on xbox), perhaps you need slightly more power in step 1 too. Keep holding until the ball is kicked.

- If you are a couple of meters away from the box, don't hold anything.

3. Watch the player run up to the ball. Right before he strikes the ball, press and hold left or right on the analog stick, to curve in that direction. The curve is stronger if you press it as late as possible, right before the foot hits the ball.

4. Watch how the ball flies into the net, and feel glorious!

I score high % of free kicks this way with Theo Janssen of Ajax, but it works with all good kickers.

^^^^good pointers there.
also i use a left foot player like bale on the left side and a right foot player on the right side so it is easier to curl past the wall and in

I'll have to try this out next time I'm online, but could you or anyone else explain what this type of shot looks like?

I always just use the traditional up/down and X/triangle controls. In like 100 MLO games I've probably scored 20-25 free kicks. Today I even scored a 40 meter screamer with Giovinco but it didn't appear in the post game highlights so I could save it :realmad: (too many goals were scored in the game and the game engine thought it would be cooler to show some tap ins...)

I have scored many times using the Knuckleshot, I normally use them within the 25-39 meter distance, just make sure u have someone that has a bazooka on his foot!

On my first masterleague, where I used a bunch of old players, I scored this one with Batistuta

^^^^^What patch was that on because the goalkeeper is terrible or it's some type of knuckleshot bug

thats the whole point of the knuckleshot, it completely disorients the keeper, the ball moves all over the place.....

I found another video with a compilation of knuckle ball shots:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2bLTgkJwq4

To be honest, I think it looks extremely lame. I realize in real life a proper knuckle ball shot(like Juninho) can disorientate the keeper but come on! In PES it looks so pathetic the way goalkeepers just let it go in. The poster of the video claims it was on top difficulty too.

Juninho doesn't use knuckleshots tbh, he is more of a curler into the far corner.
Someone like Drogba, c.ronaldo or bruno alves use knuckleshots

Juninho has a very wide range of free kicks but he was amazing at knuckle ball free kicks. Plenty of kicks that didn't go in but caused so much panic...

If I understand this correctly;

If your at large distance from the goal, perform a regular free kick with Square, but just 0.0001 second before he hits the ball, quickly tap square again? Who are able to perform this free kick, beside Ronaldo and Sneijder?

All the players are able to perform the knuckleshot and this also works during the game not only during free kicks, you can perform a knuckleshot with any player, the difference will be how much the ball swerves or sways while getting to the goal... Ive scored so many knuckleshot freekicks with my RB named MABINA.....

I thought only players with the free-kick style 11 can only do it like C.Ronaldo, Bruno Alves, DROGBA etc.

i thought whilst inplay if u tried to do a knuckle shot it would just do a chip/lob shot (double tap of shoot button)?
