Can somebody please help, I can't make the ball swerve in free play, is this at all possible to control or is it only a manual option during set pieces?
Sorry, did I break your concentration!?!

How the ball curls in open play is down to the way the player kicks the ball and the amount of curve that player has. In free kicks and corners it is manual. just hold the direction you want to curl the ball after your player has taken the kick.

Does the anologue stick have an effect?
Possibly curling the stick as it leave ur foot?

As I thought, thanks anyway, I am sure it would add to the game to be able to control the swerve on crosses etc.

Slight change in subject, and I guess a new thread would be the way to go, but.....What is the difference between WE:FE and PES2, is WE really better, or is it just the ease of the editing?

Cheers!!

Sorry, but surely it is not worth crying over, how long we have to wait for PES3, now that is something to cry about!

It depends which way you are facing. If you're shooting left and you're at the bottom of the screen the edge of the pitch is below you. Passing it left will also add aftertouch towards the left (downwards), ball going out of play. However, if you do the exact same at the top of the screen the left-aftertouch will swerve the ball in (as the edge of the pitch is above you and the ball swerves downwards).Bit of a complicated explanation there, sorry!

So does that mean you can't pass it down the edge of the pitch if you're in that situation? I mean IRL if you have no pressure and bags of time then you should be able to ping in a more or less straight line for god's sake!

Maybe it goes strighter if the player's curving stat is on 1.
But generally all balls like that go off the pitch.
