Tactics and Formation: Portugal

Hi guys,


I have been given Portugal for a tournament and after playing around in some friendlies i can't seem to find a decent formation.

I usually play 3-5-2 but as Portugal has only one half decent striker (Nuno Gomes) this formation is not suitable to them.


Have any of you played with them before and if so do you have any advice!?

i just keep the the formation on the game and just swap simao for nani or quresama.
there probably 1 of the best teams on the game and i hardly lose with them against m8s and online.

Nuno Gomes is Terrible!
Bring Paulaeta out of retirement and put Nelson in the squad as he is both footed and portugal have no lefties!

nuno gomes isnt that bad he just needs a few goals for confidence

Keep the formation on the game!!!It is a good recept for almost every team in PES08.Forward must play Quaresma,Ronaldo&Nuno Gomes.
In middlefild are Deco,Maniche,Moutinho.
In defence:Carvalho,Meira,Miguel,Nuno Valente.
That is all.If you know to play well,you almost can't lose!!!

your better sticking with the built in formation, because messing with the formations only every works when it works extremely well and you use loadsa team tactics and strategy which takes like half a hour to a hour to set up...
