taking control of your goalie

I don't know how many out there know but you could take full control of your goalie by pressing L1+R3(I think thats the combination)... In anycase, I think this could help with a few key parts of the game 1. free kicks, you could position your goalie better. 2. corner kicks, again better goalie position and 3. one on one situations where ppl simply round the AI controlled keeper for an easy chip in.

For the ones who are good with this feature, a few questions.
1. can you control when the keeper dives and in which direction?
2. how do you switch back to a regular player? I tried and couldn't
3. can you really move the keeper on free kicks before the shot is taken to position him better? again wasn't able to do this.

Is there a quicker way make your keeper move after he makes a safe.......to start those quick counter attacks

1 - Even though i hadn't switched the cursor away from him once, he managed to jump and make a great save. However i would like to know this as well.

2- As orlando sais, it's L1 + R3 to switch the cursor away from the keeper.

3 - I certainly can. Of course you have to act quickly in order for it to work properly.

Does this work for online play though?

Last year it didn't, it was only for offline games vs another player ot the computer. It is kind of lame when playing offline multiplayer as you can tell where your opponent is aiming for the free kick, so we have a gentleman's agreement to not use the gk control.
