Talented, young target man

Hi folks,

Just wanted to pick your PES brains a bit.

Does anyone know of a youngish target man I could pick up to replace Carew in my ML? The big man's done well for me but I'm in my third season now and he's touching 30. I like someone I can use as an outlet to hold the ball up for my pacey wingers to come in off and was hoping to sign an understudy so I can break him in over the season.

Any suggestions would be good.

Victor Anichebe of Everton: He's only 18. Very big and strong, good acceleration for his size and has great potential. I rarely play Master Leagues, but I'm sure if you gave him a few games he'd blossom into a cracking target man.

Cheers for all the suggestions. Currently I'm looking at Babel and Llorente as good replacements, but had a quick question.

What difference does having a * in post player make? As Llorente has one but Babel doesn't although Babel looks like the all-round better player.

And also I can't find Scharwz? I know he's a youngster but at what point does he come into the game?

yea i spelt Scharwz wrong it should be Schwarz and he appears randomly during mid season transfer window and babel is an excellent player

post player means that the player will hold the ball up better until a supporting player is is a good position to recieve a pass according to the edit mode

But do think it actually make a difference gameplay wise. Will I notice it?

Coz I think I'm leaning towards Babel but wondering if he'll still be as effective setting up my wingers without the post player star.

Ta again for all the tips everyone. I went for Babel in the end. He's not quite as big as I hoped for but is a good all round player. Will probably pick up Schwarz when he comes into the game aswell.

Oh and snapped up Kompany in the transfer window too. Sured up my defence.

sorry, just bringing up the post player star again, as far as i've been able to tell, as well as what it says in edit mode, is that it makes your player hold onto the ball better when on the attack, the sort of sprint to keep up with it better if someone knocks it away, can lead to them running the ball of the pitch on occasion tho IMO

Good buy there, Kompany becomes very good.

Is Wilhelmson worth buying? I was going to buy him a while ago, but never got round to it

He's been a great buy for me, think he's probably my best player atm. Keeps developing till he's lightning. All top speed, acceleration, dribbling speed and dribbling acc at ~95, and he's a great dribbler and crosser.

Starts out at 26 though, so depends how many seasons in you are when you pick him up. I got him midway through my 1st and have been loving it.

Cheers for the tip ham_aka_stam.

P.S. Bammers05, notice you didn't put up the recent Liverpool v Arsenal score. (Sorry couldn't resist)
