That last game was the best, absolute last gasp winner scored by the CPU no less. And I switched to one player by the way as I was getting bad lag all night (hence why I missed a couple of sitters), much worse that 09. Anyone else finding this?

As of last night, we were ranked 36 in the British Isles. I imagine it won't get any better than that.

Anyone who is captain in future, switch Phil McCrevasse to the centre - he's a right footed central midfielder so it makes no sense playing him on the left.

And Dan, I must admit I was impressed with your debut, but do know I stuck that corner on your head.

Gap at left midfield you say? I should be able to fill the void.

It was indeed a peach of a corner. Your crossing was good all night too tbf. That first game was great though. They all had mics, we didn't, it was my first game and we still took them apart and beat them 4-0. It should have been 5 right at the end too, but I passed instead of burying it.

I had zero lag too.

I'm trying to improve McCrevasse in the season mode, but the cunt manager either plays me on the left or in a defensive midfield role. Plus I've noticed old Phil seems to be shooting with his left peg. It's like he's taking this whole different career path to that which I wanted him too.

I know it's annoying, I'm getting played either on the left or as a centre mid, I don't really have the defending skills for it as an attacking midfielder. I like the fact that it's more difficult to boost your attributes this time round though.

Only 1 of our games was recorded as a club game last night for some reason so it didn't keep any of our stats such as goals scored or assists but I envisaged this problem and kept a record myself.

We seem to play a flat 4-4-2 with RS, LS, LM, RM, RCM, LCM in midfield and attack. I usually play RS and am small and quick, so perhaps you want to make your player tall and left-footed?

I don't mind taking up the left-footed striker post, however, I'm more of a technique person than a target man.

I noticed your guy was huge, especially when you were chasing down that guy on the sidelines then just completely wiped him out. I can't believe you only got a yellow for that; that was brutal.

I prefer RS but if its taken then no problem. I like the freedom to drop off the front line a little bit now and then but its no big deal. If I'm a target man in the RS role it just suits me more than LS. Whenever I played as a LS in FIFA 09 Club Mode I found myself struggling to stay in a decent position.

Barn, as a defensive midfielder you'd end up being like Vinnie Jones and taking someone out about 5 seconds into the game. However, your player seems built for that type of role.

A right-sided target man who drops short to lay it off and then makes the run is how I spent most of FIFA 09 playing so I tend to mix it up to stop from being marked too easily.

I've just made my VP similar to Iaquinta in size and weight (6'3 and about 185lbs) so I'll keep going with that. Might still make him left-footed but undecided. RS is the most important thing but that's all up to you - if you want to stay as RS to give it longer I'll just play elsewhere or have to make do at LS.
