I'd go 2-2-4-2 if we could
0-5-5 is the answer. In some games it feels like we're playing this already :|

I'd go 2-2-4-2 if we could
How fared the experiments?
Everyone's PS3 froze during a horrifying game when we tried 4-4-2 diamond with me doing quite well at CDM and play in the final third being amongst our worst ever.
We then switched mainly to 4-3-2-1 which seemed to go well enough but only four of us were online.
We were only about 10 minutes into the match
No we were about 40 minutes in you nonce and I'd intercepted the ball repeatedly by that stage. Perhaps then, you were completely shit because you didn't have a clue how long we'd even been playing. The number of aimless long balls to Barn was absurd.
Go fuck yourself fella, k?
that 4-2-2-2, I like to call it the doughnut because of the big hole in the middle of the field, just doesn't look right. we never played it but sat idle with it on the screen a few times.

That's the formation we quite often played with Team PesInsight on FIFA12. Quite liked it, because it gave the DMs the opportunity to receive the ball from the defenders, charge through into 'the doughnut' and feed the strikers in basically no time at all. The middle of the pitch feels a lot more congested when playing as a DM in a 4-2-3-1.
How is everyone else finding 3-1-4-2?
I've been enjoying the central midfield role, particularly left, not sure why I get a little disorientated on the right side. I think it's been working well with Phatmann, Sweey and I in the middle, though Sweey if you want to go forward don't worry as one of us will drop. Sometimes you seemed to go and then hesitate, didn't want you to feel trapped too deep all the time. Joel and Barn seem to do better up front with someone close enough that they can play off one another and also aren't always faced up by two/three centre backs.
The only thing I noticed last night was human LM/RMs play a lot narrower than the CPU plays the positions. This meant we lacked width and subsequently got fewer crosses in the box, crowded the midfield and lack the out ball the wide men offer. It's hard for whoever plays there though because if the ball is going down the other side I imagine it feels like you're out of the game. Iron/Mak maybe you can offer thoughts here?
I don't think I was narrow throughout the night I had one game when I came in a lot more because I was going ages with no service. Spent a lot of the night tracking back as well covering the full back what might of made it look like I'm not staying wide waiting for a pass. I got more crosses in than usual I thought last night when I play on the wing. I certainly am enjoying having a break from DMF. Playing 11v 11 again recently I'm coming to the realisation of how bad my VP is.How is everyone else finding 3-1-4-2?
