Team Ranking

On all the old PES games, I have taken pride in my Master League team, and was very happy when i became the number 1 ranked team in the game. However, on this PES, i believe i'm ranked exceptionally low.
I have played 3 seasons, getting promoted in the first season (on Top Player of course), then in the second season, i won the FA Cup (i changed the name) and qualified for the Europa League, with a 6th placed finish. Then in the season I have just finished, I retained the FA Cup, and won the League on the final day. Yet with my achievements so far, my team rank is 131 out of the 170. I just dont understand it. On the other hand, Blackburn, who got relegated in the first season, and haven't returned to the top flight since are placed at 71.
May this be a result of the team I chose for my ML, being PES United, a tradition that I have followed since the original PES game?
Im interested to hear where your team is positioned on the ranking system, espically if you have chosen an already significant team.

It must depend on the reputation of the team that you choose. My Atletico Madrid ML team started somewhere in the middle of the rankings (sorry, can't remember exactly where), climbed slowly at first, but once I got into Europe and started winning more, things improved. I'm now in my 6th season and have just gained that number one ranking.

People who choose real teams for the ML are crazy though, much better to build a team from scratch.

I built a team from scratch (edited team R) with the default players (Ivarov, Castolo, etc). It was very hard to upgrade the staff during the first seasons and it was even harder to go to the top of the ranking (I'm not there yet). Other thing is that to buy good players, you need to be very well ranked to have a success because they will decide to accept the offer based on the ranking of your team (which, actually, is closer to the reality).

i've basically done the same, started in 2nd division of england as pes utd, won that first season on top player. 2nd season got to semis of the cup and finished 4th in the league.

Despite this my team is only ranked 135, it's quite poor as no one good wants to join me and i'm left to battle with a team of jokers.

I am Ranked Nr. 1 in my 11th Season with Bayern Munich (which was build on other leagues B). I was at about 160 at the beginning. I won the CUP in the first season which enabled me to go to the Europa League after I got into the first League. I won the League and the EL, than I won the League, CL and CUP every year (without reloading).

So it is possible to get on top with a low ranked team. But you need to manage your finances well. My Teamsalery is at about 130mio, so I cant mess up a season.

I also created a side, have done for years. Began my ML campaign a few spots off the bottom of the Team Ranking. In my 5th year now, up too 73rd. I've had seasons where I've won the FA Cup but was runner up and moved up some 10 placings. Then in going for the achievement where you win the treble and everygame to boot I moved up some 43 placings. No longer am I considered a minnow in the News section.
