..was announced. After seeing spot from E3, i think is the same as Tekken 4 was, what dissapoint me partially. Maybe i expect too much, but from Tekken 3, this serie slowly but sure start falling, or at least stagnate.

No, Namco have announced that for Tekken 5, they will be looking closely at VF4, and see why it is so successful. That can only be a good thing.

I agree, Tekken 3 is the pinnacle of the series, with TTT not far behind. Tekken 4 wasn't much chop, I thought. Too loose, Paul Pheonix looked gay, and overall, it sucked. I liked the closed arenas though.

But for Tekken 5, Namco have definitely said they will be changing the game back to its roots, and they will be attempting to emulate what makes VF4 so successful. I'll try and find the link...

Hahahahah, MK is so cheap. In saying that though, MK2 is one of my favourite beat'em up of all time (yea, beat'emup, not fighting game).

Tekken is an altogether different animal to MK.

And thats not even mentioning something deep like VF4...

Anyway, Tekken 5 is quite far from release, now i'm more looking forward to Kengo 3, which will be released this summer and looks very interesting. Still, i play and definitely love Kengo 2, best swordplay simulator :)

Of course - see another topic. And ..ehm.. awesome is too strong word in connection with MK:Deception, just look at character animations - far from being smooth, blood look also very unrealistic, gameplay, and fatalitys , well, best was used in MK1 (like kano ripping heart from chest ...).

Deception is definitely the best of the new generation MK's, but it still doesn't compare to MK2 on the SNES.

Bushido Blade on the PS1 is the best sword-sim IMHO.

In my humble opinion it's Kengo 2, but Bushido Blade 1 is really close :) Elfinke, did you play Kengo 2 ?

ive seen the screenies in the tekken 5 website they look good, to say the truth the last tekken ive played was the only tekken ive played ( tekken 4 ) on the ps1 the thing i hated was your life meter finishes too fast and i can't seem to make combos i just tab on all the buttons and voila, in MK though i have style in fighting like with scorpion i throw the spear then a 6 hit combo, then i change my fighting stance then another 3 hit combo then i change my fighting stance then 5 hit combo so it was great for me

No, unfortunately. I have read so many good things about the Kengo series, 'tis a shame they never appeared over here in Aust (well, as far as I know they didn't).

Fill me in on them a bit (a mini-review if you will), I might go and try to find a copy.

I've unlocked everyone like a month ago.. I really like this game.. the ending of Asuka is interesting. maybe she has a half of Angel..

I disliked the other tekkens but this ones reviews seem to be alot better, i might try it out one day maybe!

I've got tekken 5 and the graphics are amazing but the fighting seems to be same old which can get quite boring but a good thing is that you can play the original 1,2 and 3 games on there which is great.
