LOL i still remeber this game on PES2010 where i played a guy in D1 with 645. I went to pick Uzbekistan right away and then the idiot picked Inter. Thought he would pick an equal team.

He got 2 goals in first half then i managed to score one on counter attack. In the 80 min i got a free kick and hit it with an high arch and my attacker headed it in. Got the draw 2-2. After i couple of days i saw the sorry loser had left me a massage saying i was so lucky. I just knew he was just so pissed losing points. The most incredible thing is that he didnt realize that he had quite an advantage. Well he has probably only been playing with Barca, Inter, Real and Brazil. What a loser. Muaha.....

Why, who doesn't remember some great games they played. I remember playing against a noob last year who -after scoring 1-0 in the 50th minute- started to pass the ball from keeper to defenders the entire match. He thought it was funny or something, seeing me run to the ball with no real chance of getting it. But in the 86th minute he missed a ball, giving me a throw in. I scored inmediatly with a super lucky shot by v Persie. Straight after kick off I got the ball again and scored the 2-1:laugh:. I think I sent him 5 or 6 messages just too make fun of him

Yeah those games are such a rare gem arent they. I've had about 5 online games today, every one of my opponents picked Barcelona, I won 3 of them, drew 1 and lost 1. Every game was so boring and in the end I just stopped playing because I just gave up on trying to have a match with different teams, it just became tedious and repeatative. I just wish there was a way in which you could chose to enter games where you could filter options, like search for a game where the max team stats are B or search for opponents only from a certain league etc. so you and your opponent can play the matches you want and make for different and great games all the time.

Online HAS to be sorted out though, he went basically 120 minutes pressuring me every second of the game, and who got tired first?!? ME, ALL my players were on their arse and I rarely pressured. Never mind back offline tomorrow!

Personally, I don't agree with that. There's a lot of individuality, and I see it in the teams I play against and also have a lot of fun with the teams I create. I find it interesting to see how other teams are put together, and especially this year they have made it so there is more equality in my opinion. When you first start playing it seems like a player like Eto'o can make a game impossible for the oppossion to win, but the more you play the more you learn how easy it is to contain players like that, and in the end even a mediocre team can beat a superstar side.

The real problems though in my opinion are:

1. Way too easy to round the keeper - if they fixed that the speed merchants would be even less effective and the whole game more balanced.

2. Crossing way too effective as well, with almost any player. This to me might be the bigger issue though because the goals require so little skill on the part of the user.

This is what I don't get. People turbo-cramp all over the pitch for 90 minutes and my guys get exhausted!

YES!!! I agree 100% its great, but you need to be patient and concentrate, one slip up and they're in the open field and likely to score...

Yesterday I beat a Barca loser like you described 3-0 with Juve, I had 63% possession and outshot him 15-2, he had a ranking of 545 LOL loser! BUT my favorite win so far in PES 2012 was when I didn't pick my team quick enough and ended up with the cpu picking Qatar as a random tam for me and had to go up against Barca....I thought hell Ill just defend screw it... I got him with 2 counter attacks late and won 2-0 ... the guy called me a Puto and left HAHAHA! !

anyway fucking Barca and Real hogs are starting to piss me off..and Milan hogs too

Just wanted to say how good it feels when you beat those speed merchant abusers that you know have no clue about football. I've just played someone who picked Barcelona, so I chose Arsenal. Right from the start I knew it was one of these noob players, he passes the ball straight to messi and immediately tries running through my whole team. So Mertesacker takes the ball off him, then I pass pass pass pass as he chases me around the whole pitch with one player like a headless chicken. Anyway I score early in the first half 1-0 van Persie. Immediately from kick off, he tries running through my whole team again using nobody but Villa and Messi, predictable play, like someone needs to tell him 'hey, you know you can pass backwards and take your time and play some nice football don't you?'. Anyway all game he's doing this, tackle after tackle, i just take the ball back and keep possession with patient play. BANG! 2-0 van Persie after a neat little build up. Anyway, second half and I sit back and defend a bit continually stealing the ball off from his 2 man team Messi and Villa, then passing around seeing the frustration in his play as he runs around the whole pitch with Messi trying to get the ball back. Full Time 2-0. Not only is it nice to beat these kind of players, it's even better when you keep a clean sheet and stop them from scoring all game, as you know they know nothing about the game of football and only play to score those same repeatative unrealistic goals. I just wanted to say how satisfying it feels lol because I know many of us have been on the losing end of the result against these types of players, and it's so frustrating because they don't play properly, they don't understand what footballs about, and let's just hope football games continue to be improved in the future to benefit the real football gamers rather than these kind of players, eventually frustrating them all to stop playing football games or forcing them to learn the art of football.

I think you should learn how to play the game before you slag and slander about it. You obviously have no idea of how to defend properly. I play with Spurs online, and I have no problems with beating Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern München online. In fact, I've only lost against Barcelona once.

Defending is harder and therefore more important in PES than ever before, many people struggle with defense, and that is also why I manage to win so many games, and quite easily at that. I have mastered the defense, and I'm fairly decent offensively.

Any fairly quick side or centre back can dispossess Messi from the ball, and if you pressure with a backup you will win the ball or create a free kick in 95% of the cases. Either way, Messi is stopped. Hold up play with the player you're controlling, and use AI pressure to send a defender straight at him, then release hold off button just after the AI defender pushes at Messi and steal the ball when he is out of balance.

I don't have a problem defending speed merchants anymore and trust me, it is a joy. All you do is let COM position your defender to tackle with r2 and square. Also press x at the same type.
What really pisses me off is that my match completion is 44 percent after 9 matches and it says after 10 matches if it is below 70 percent you get banned when i never disconnect, anyway why would i if i don't have a problem defending speed merchant?

abu97, I've found a solution to the problem. Never score more than one or two goals more than the opponent. Even if you know you can, and don't take the ball away from them before they have played with it for a while.

Only play "just enough" to win each game, and every now and then you meet a player that requires all you got to win. Those matches are quite funny.
