The Free Kick Guide

Hey all... i'm back !

I kinda got the grip for Free Kicks on PES6, so i thought i'd share my ways of doing it !

Note: Free Kicks on PES6 are Coded to be Hard so don't expect this Guide to make it easy for you to score all the time... since consistency with Free Kicks on PES6 is not possible, this Guide is only here to help you be more successful at Taking FK's

Video Guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imzn-7TkGXA

These are the factors that affect Free Kicks:

Players FK Accuracy, Curl, Shot Power, Condition Arrow (If Pirlo is on Blue is FK accuracy will be less) Keeper Skills, Wall Jump .

I am going to show how to take Free Kicks using 3 methods although there is the method of Shooting under the wall but i am not going to cover that !

1st Method: Outside the Penalty Area Free Kicks

Many people are aware of this the type but i'll explaing anyway. This way of scoring FK's only involves tapping of the CIRCLE button. The idea is to make a small Arch over the wall... this sometimes works better than the user of SQUARE to take FK's. (In the Video Guide)

The other method is by Holding CIRCLE to half way and holding Down button, but i have not mentioned this method on the Video Guide !

2nd Method: Medium Range FK (18-24 Metres)

At this distance the way i have had more success at scoring is by Aiming at the Bottom Corner with Down and Left/Right Button, filling up the Power Bar half way or just under and Holding X . The aiming for the Corner with Down and Side button will make the ball Curl while X balances the Power of the Shot ! (in the Video Guide)

3rd Method: Long Range Free Kicks (25-30 Metres)

At this distance i need to point out that it is recommened that you get a FK Taker with a shot power over 85 ! Pace is Crucial when taking a FK from this Distance...
Hold UP and SIDE, fill up the Power Bar just over half way line and hold TRIANGLE or keep taping TRIANGLE (In the Video Guide)

Note: The Video Guide has been made bearing in mind people who watch it outside pesfan... so pardon for the text !
All the Free Kicks are from Matches mostly from my ML with Arsenal on Top Player. There are no Training Ground FK's.

Don't come shouting at me if you are not successul with my method, cuz i'm here to help.

Discuss and raise all your questions here:

Enjoy and Good Luck !

Thx all... sometimes all it requires for someone to do something is to see someone else do it... hope the Video also gives you inspiration to try the FK harder !

If you are on the edge of the box, then this is the coolest way to score and sometimes the easiest.
1) Aim just inside the near post or whatever side the goalie isnt at
2) Press the down button
3) Hold down the circle button until it is 3/4 full whilst pressing down button
4) Watch in beauty as your freekick travels under the wall into the bottom corner
5) Run round the room in celebration and if in mutliplayer laugh in their face and mock them!!

this method doesn't work for me at all, for some reason, when I'm in training, the goalkeeper ALWAYS catches my shots, even if it is at the top right corner dead on.

Great tip man. I have been making Freekicks lately that have been hitting the bar alot and its starting to piss me off. Its not as easy as PES5 where i used to just score some nice freekicks. Specially with Juninho. But PES6 is just a whole different story. lol. Thx for the tip, time to try them out.

seems 2 work for u mate, not for me thow! tried all methods and i score one out of 20! i use ronaldinho for my shots! am i so bad after all? note that i am the best player among 10 friends we are playing each other. tried also after shooting, holding R2 as others told me but it looks also easy for keepers on top player level.

Another nice way to score close range FK's (16/17 m in front of the goal) is to aim at the keeper's corner, just between the bar and the keeper, and to do the following:

Fill up the bar just a little (about 1/4) while pressing Triangle/Y and UP on the D-Pad

If the FK taker has good accuracy and shot power, he will score 7 in 10 trys if performed correctly.
