^Ofcourse they had. It was fully based on luck. I hate luck based things.

with all do respect, it's still based largely on luck tbh.

penalty #1: I tap shoot button and tap left button, the penalty goes slightly to the left along the floor.

penalty #2: I tap shoot button and tap left button, the penalty is hoofed way over the bar to the right.

trust me, as long as the players abilities is so much considered into the process, it's all about luck. And you don't have ANY indication to how much is enough pressing etc. In real life you have MUCH better control over a penalty than this. There is always room for error, but in this penalty system it's only a small room for success. (by success i mean actually placing the ball in the vicinity of where you intended)

And if you place it in the far corner no keeper will save it so player's skill is there unlike in pes 09. Also you can place the ball where you want. Just practice and you will place the ball where you want.
Now, by all this, the penalty system can improve. Well for example less sensitive would be ideal. But as it is, it's good. Much better than last year and much less luck based.
The last penaly shootout I had against the AI I won and I didn't miss a single one (except when the GK saves them). But I didn't missed a penalty far out and it does depend on how much pressure you make in the direction. I know it's a bit too sensitive but not how you're saying.

I'd like to see a power bar at the very least.


As for Free kicks, i'd like to see a small indication to where i'm actually aiming, I have scored many nice free kicks but I've also sent many far wide, or curled the ball to the center of the goal because I did not aim far enough to the side. Again, I have much better control over where I am aimin(ish) in real life than in PES. Just a blurry area so you at least had a suggestion to where-ish you was aiming, not a definite spot.
You'd still have to pick the right power and curl to succeed.

Kick off 2 had a better penalty system, harder than the new PES one in many ways, but I had full control and never missed unless the keeper saved

^I wasn't saying the penalty system is perfect, but it's just much better than last year and you can place the ball where you want. But 1 negative thing is that it's a bit too sensitive. And I do not mid sensitivity over power meters as long as they work well.

i wish i could put my 2 cents in here, but ive played OVER 4 master league seasons with Dynamo Kiev and still have yet 2 receive even ONE freakin PK!!! WTF

i practiced, got good, now I make most of them! ;-) too bad I never get a penalty to shoot in a game though! I hope this gets patched soon!

I agree that the pen system is not bad but this is when you use the D-pad the analog sticks make the pens impossible. The game needs to be updated to remove the camera form the side it is bloody awful.:realmad: I find that the games are no fun because that pass pass pass shite:realmad::realmad: loads of possession and fuck all shots it riduclous to have only 4 shots against wolves in a 90 min macth that last 10mins while playing as man utd? why is this is is so unfun:realmad:

Can anyone suggest a formation to play with man utd that will provide me with more shots than 3 even though I getting 55% possession???

True, not many penalties, but that's also because you don't get many opportunities in the box. The ref is also a problem.

^I take penalties with the Dpad aswell.
Anyway as for the shots.
I think you have to get better at the game. My brother has a master league with Fiorentina and he always ends up with more than 4 shots on target.
