the getaway is better than vice city and was unfairly treated when being scored the graphics are outstanding, great story and there are lost of hiden cars to find when free roaming has been unlocked

But how much actual roaming and free mission type stuff can you do?

I have both Vice City and The Getaway and I have to say that I think Vice City is better. The Getaway is by no means bad but there is so much more to do on VC and it has a far greater lasting appeal.

I thought that would be the case and why I didn't buy The Getaway

yes there is more stuff to do in vc like flying, buying print house ect but the missions in The getaway are far superior like the smoke effects the ai of the enemys the atmosphere and the way that every time u play a mission again it is always different. And when playing some mission again i notice new intellegents e.g when doing the hospital mission and u shot a patient in there beds they throw themselves forward in there beds a then dead as the machine beep changes to a continuoes beep like on one of those casualty programes when the pateint dies, also u can interact with every think e.g pop ballons at the patients bedside and smash clash and shoot bottles, also when u leave the hospital its is real time no loading just strait out into the busy streets of london. and when doing the mission with carter where u find the files in like the car machinics, u can shoot the power and the car the man is working on in the pit falls crushing him just another cool feature and continuing on that missionwhere u get to the video of carter looking at the files after that i went back out the way i came but the second time i went through this door that i did not know about and trough the corridor is a lotus and a tvr and carter says lotus tvr lotus tvr lotus it is then and evry time he will say adifferent car, also there are fireworks in the warhouse mission with hammound and it is so fun wathcing the firework rip across the room killing the enermys anyone who has not already hurry up and get it!

i have found a few secret cars does anyone have them , have seen the tank athought the tank itself is not as good as vice citys the explosions are, I have found a posh house with a nissan skyline a tvr a lotus elise and a gocart in the garage with 07 attached to it, i also saw the lotus and tvr in the jolson files mission, another car is the lotus epirit on marlyebone street on the right by the modle making green dome can not remember real name , anyway then go down the ally on the right to the end towards the HSBC bank and turn right down a allyway and there is the car.

anyone else have any secret areas let me know please.

I think you've found all of the hidden vechiles. Well, that's according the map I got in a magazine giving you the locations of everything.

i would give getaway at least 95%, its more linear than vice but alot more realistic.

Yeah, I do think it deserves more than 79%, it's a good game. I must point out though that in OPS2M it got a score of 9/10 so they did the game justice.

Your right with what you've said about the Getaway but like I said before, I prefer Vice City.

yeah its alot more fun and as i speak my brother is playing it! those ambulance missions are a pain and a half. is it true in vice city that if you use cheats that you cant complete the game 100% but instead only 99%?

Once u have finished the game with both u unlock free roaming then u can just drive around for hours the driving is so realistic and tense

Yeah, they were going to make the free roaming mode available from the start of the game and then decided to have it as an unlockable reward for completing the game.

its a brill game but i expected more cars such as BMWs and Audi TT's etc.

Year but there is alot of cars in the game like Lotus elise, Tvr Nissian skyline, lexus but u ar right i lve to be able to get a porshe 911 , mclaren, ferarri enzo or a Audi TT

I found a golf cart in the park near the mansion with the Skyline & TVR, etc. Its slow to drive but the handling is good (its like a luggage carrier off vice city.) Im sorry i cant give exact details but its hidden in some bushes in the park.
