Alright Lads, I'm just going to go through how to work with PES 2009 on the PS3 online. I'm using Eircom myself so I will be using that as an example. Imagine/Gaelic Telecom does not need any instructions, simply connect and away you go. I do not know about Perlico or any other provider.

1. Go into the router's address online (it should be http://192.168.1.254) and change the following:
Custom Services - Service Name - Select PlayStation Network and Enable.
You can also set the Firewall to Low but this is optional. (Remember this is for Eircom, other providers will be similar). Save the changes.
2. Select Settings and Network Settings in the PlayStation 3 XMB.
Select Internet Connection Settings and hit Yes
3. Select a Setting Method - hit Custom, then Wireless (or Wired if you're that way inclined) and then Scan for your Network
4. Enter your Security Key - Eircom will have provided you with one of these on the Booklet that came with your Router
5. Select IP Address Settings and choose PPPoE - the default Username and Password for Eircom are both broadband1 - if you are not with Eircom, your provider will give you these details.
6. DNS Settings should be Automatic
7. MTU should be Manual and set at 1500
8. Proxy Server - Do Not Use
9. UPnP is Enabled
10. Finally hit X to Save your Settings and then Test the Connection - your results should be the following:
Obtain IP Address - Succeeded
Internet Connection - Succeeded
PlayStation Network - Succeeded
UPnP - Not Available
NAT Type - Type 1
If you do not achieve NAT Type 1, keep trying - either refresh the test or do the whole thing again. Hit O to exit the Settings and away you go with PES Online!
