After a couple weeks of playing the recent mouth watering fixtures across Europe in Exhibition mode, I finally turn my attention to setting up some various MLs.

I remembered glitches with ML in past WE's, but not before I had set up 3 Prems, 1 La Liga, and 1 Serie A MLs.

My blood turns to sleet as I scroll to Valencia's lineup in Team Info in my Ath. Madrid ML, and OF FUCKING COURSE they are starting Kluivert with Villa on the bench, and countless other examples across my other MLs.

They have yet to deal with this monstrous fucking glitch? For fucking fuck's sake you would think this would have been fixed by now.

Thanks Konami, you have once again nullified a near perfect option file that was the combination of many people's, including my own, efforts. 75% of the fucking game is ruined, I'll just stick with Exhibition mode thankyouveryfuckingmuch, as I cannot get Online to work. Forgive me if I don't look forward to matchups with examples like the aforementioned, that disgrace to the Netherlands being put ahead week in week out over David Fucking Villa.

If I come across any Konami representative I will not waste a breath explaining myself. I will reserve that energy as I will need it in order to sprint towards and uppercut them in the taint until their eyeballs turn black.

I support Liverpool, but I've too much heart in the side to go start an ML with em and start fiddling with transfers and such. Feels artificial gives me the willies.

So I have a soft spot for Middlesbrough, Newcastle and those guys. I go to check Rafa's men in their Team Info.

Agger, Hyppia, Kromkamp, and Carra at the back. Carra at LFB. Left Fucking Back. Zenden on the left wing. Luis playing just behind Cisse up front, and Gerrard on the right. Momo? If you want him you better get a fucking shovel. Or a bulldozer. He's fossilizing somewhere between Carson and Reina, because Dudek wears the 1. Although you gotta hand it to them for Momo and Steven, that's how it will be til the summer most likely. Eh I guess Kromkamp will do the duty on the right as well.

totally agreed. And why cant they at least get some proper transfers to clubs, I mean, Baros still at Anfield? WHAT? come on Konami!! Is it that much hard work?? Obviously it is. I know this can all be changed with the handy help of a option file, but it would save us time... pull it together Konami.

I thought I had intimated this was 1st Season 1st Week 1st Fixture when I said quite clearly I checked VALENCIA's lineup in my ATH. MADRID ML immediately after --SETTING UP-- 3 Prem's, 1 La Liga, and 1 Serie A ML each.

I had just started these MLs yesterday, in Match Mode of course, after I had put my touches on the Dwevans WE9I option file I was already using.

I could fix this if I so wanted to, but it is beastly. It's not any of the sides I've picked for ML that I'm worried about. Start an ML in Match Mode and look at Team Information or your Opponent's Data. The CPU managers field some fucking aneurysm inducing 11 men. And I'm talking 1st season 1st day 1st fixture. It's not fatigue or injury or any other reason other than madness.

The solution if it's the same as it was in WE7, is to go in and change player by player the positions or feet or side of the field they are comfortable playing in. And abilities, if need be. But the latter means you have to start a new ML, as ability edits are not reflected after the fact.

Ya, brilliant over the top lightning bolt of advice there Jim. You're probably the guy that advised Ashley Cole to put it on vibrate. If my post offended your delicate Russian mafia sensibilities you shan't have read it.

I edited using in game editor and unlie pes4, the changes actually stayed. Is mine different?

I assume you mean Miller starting for Man Utd. etc.

Ya right on Villene. I edited in-game as well, although the option file was already dead on with complete transfers/created players. No legends in ML, all replaced by missing players etc.

Maybe the difference between yours and mine is this option file had done a fair share of editing the positions a player could play.

The whole SWP at LB for example. I forgot what default is, but in this option file he is able to play at WB and LB on either side of the field, along with his typical midfield/forward options. So CPU Jose has put him at LB, and don't get me started on Liverpool's back four. Fucking outrageous, Riise and Finnan nowhere to be seen and Carra at LB. Yeah sorry I know I already mentioned it.

I also have messed around with the stock formation possiblities and it leads nowhere.. If you have an idea how to remedy this Villene I'm all ears.

Well I fixed it.

Off to knuckle one out in front of the mirror; afterwards and henceforth I will enjoy whichever fuckery-free ML of my choosing.

I what you mean with teams like Valencia having Kluivert in their starting 11 every game. Before starting your ML, edit the teams the way the CPU will play them correctly. In Valencia's case, just remove Kluivert from their squad. It's the only way. Or for instance when they keep putting players on the wrong side of the field, like France playing Zidane AMF on the right and Giuly on the left. You can fix problems like this by editing the team, select role, and make Giuly's position RMF and Zidane's position AMF. Then edit player, Giuly, position, and get AMF off his list, and with Zidane, get SMF of his list. So this way the CPU will play them in the proper position. It's a long way before you get it right...

Also, when you feel a team's starting eleven is not right, you should not change it with 'edit team' and then swapping players between bench and field... because the CPU will just play its original starting eleven. You can only achieve changes in the CPU starting line up in 'register player', get the first eleven on there the way you want. Sometimes you have the edit the formation first to get everybody in their right position, like described above. It's hardest with club teams, because when you register a player to a squad, he will get at the bottom of the squad list and will sometimes never even play. So after that you have remove players from the starting eleven from the squad and adding them again. That way, when you remove a certain player from the starting eleven (by registering), another player from the squad will fill his place. Repeat until you get it right. When you don't get it right, you might have to change the position of the player in 'edit player', it should be the position he should play in the default setting of the team. It's complicated. With the national teams it's much easier

Also, when you finally have every team right, sometimes the CPU will play the right formation against you, but when you look in 'team information' for instance in a cup mode, you will see that a guy like Messi (with upgraded stats) who you've put in the Argentina starting eleven (with register player, swap him with Saviola), he will never have any assists or goals in the topscorer ranks. So the CPU plays him in the starting eleven against you, but in CPU vs CPU matches during your cup tournament, he doesn't seem to play ???? This stuff kills me
