Hmmm, how would the PS2/3 know how good your goals is

The computer could use a points system for:

Area of the goal where it croses the line (e.g top corner)
Distance of shot
Amount of curl on shot (left to right and how much it drops)
How cleanly it was struck
etc..

If something like this was used shooting stats could be improved with more accuracy instead of being based on amount of goals scored.
