The Official "Flip-Flap" and Moves Discussion Thread

Upon Zy's request, this thread is for mainly discussion and info on the "flip-flap" move. Zy would like the discussion to stop in the Move List thread. this thread also serve as all the other moves discussion:360 spin, step-overs, etc...

how is the flip-flap move done?

I heard its done by holding 'R2' and pressing 'R3'left then 'R3' right but Ive tried it a few times and it only does the 360 spin

If u press '[]' + 'X' then if the player feints left quickly press the opposite direction on the d-pad or vice versa, Ive tried this and it looks like it a bit but not exactly it

It doesn't look that convincing at first but if you study the movie closely after 15 seconds and 54 seconds it does look like it:

those are considered shot feints. the flip-flap is much slower than the shot feints. davietelfer, have you seen the vid for the flip-flap yet?

There was a link on Evo-Webs for it but the link was broken ....on the forum on EvoWebs a guy who watched the vid says it was amazing!

No he doesn't know, he said it was automatic he thinks, or something with R2. He doesn't know how he did it though

i rekon that is def a flip flap in that vid, it looks most like it on 22 secs.
