hi guys,
i thought i might give the old MSG1 a go on the pc.
and was wondering if anyone would know if i bought a "DUAL PS/PS2 to PC USB CONTROLLER 2 PLAYER CONVERTER " would work on the game, basically can i play the game on my laptop using my ps2 controller, providing i had the usb converter.

thanks.

I don;t see why it wouldn't.

I'd recommend the Gamecube remake though. Way better graphics and the first person view makes the Ocelot battle much easier.

It would almost certainly allow it. I have the same adaptor and it's worked with pretty much every game i've tried. Only problem i've had is not having enough button configurations for games like Far Cry, but with the controls being simple on Metal Gear Solid, that won't be a problem.

I was playing MGS at the weekend for the first time in years, still very fun to play and brought back memories. Incredible game.

"Snake?...Snake?? Snaaaake..."

I was always forced to submit to Ocelot's torture, although I borrowed my mate's memory card to copy his save which had stealth and the bandana, but once the initial fun has died down, it becomes too easy. The cardboard box is usually useful for tricking the guards.

I'm determined to survive the torture this time, but I couldn't save the game I had at the weekend, as I don't have a PS1 memory card anymore. I'll have to buy another one soon.

As for the graphics card, i'm not too knowledgable about that, if you post in the technology thread in Off-topic, someone should be able to help you out.

I always used to love those exclamation marks that pop up above the enemy's head with an aroused 'huh?'.

Or was it question marks  (?)

yeh the excalmation marks are when they notice you and the question mark is if they hear a sound and are confused
