Couldn't find a first impressions thread, so..
I'm really pissed off with this years version.
It really isn't any good at all. It's way to easy to score, Keeper's fumble way too much, which to be honest, really ruins the game for me as I can't play a game when I could just run past the defence easy and slot the ball past the goalkeeper about 3 times in one match. I was really anticipating this and willing to give it a try, but I just cannot get into it, at all. As much as I honestly do hate to say it, Fifa 2008 is the better game this Year. I'm mainly annoyed due to the fact that i've bought every other PES (Since there been called "Pro Evolution Soccer", and not "ISS", as that's kind of, out of my time), and I am going to refuse to give Konami my money this year. I shall get WWE SmackDown vs RAW 2008 and Assassin's Creed, instead.
What's the deal with only storing 9 edited kits ? Now, I may be wrong here as I haven't got an Xbox Live cam to try it, but that's what I heard from Evo-web. If true, that's not even enough to fully edit the Premiership. I know some of you may think "Cali, PES is tons better then Fifa as Fifa is a boy's game, also if your not half as active as you used to yet you still find time to give your opinion on PES 2008!?", well I can answer that. Fifa this year isn't a boy's game. It's a lot harder to score, it's got good gameplay aswell, and apparently the online isn't bad either. I also give my opinion on PES 2008 as well, it's my opinion, i'm not trying to warn anyone from getting it (Although I suggest that you rent it first if you are unsure), and yes there are positives about the game, but unfortunately as much as i've played it, there seems to be more negatives.

It is painfully easy to dribble through a whole team at full speed which completely spoils the game; aswell as the fact that the keepers can't catch a cold and if they don't parry it into the net, they guide into the feet of the strikers.

I'm playing the XBOX 360 version and it's rocks. Played with my mate, had 17 shots, 11 on goal, it went down 2-1 to me only. Dida made out-of-space saves, so I guess it's really "early days" symptoms.
Let's just wait for the option file.:erm:
i like it,i think you guys are playing on an easy level always using the best teams which loadsa boring basts do.im man city and i havent beaten man u in like 5 attempts on proffesional. and i wouldnt say im shit coz im not,playing the game properly with a good not world class team constantly makes for an entertaining game.if your barca all the time of cause your gonna win,thats what they do,messi always beats 3-4 people on his runs.c ronaldo always gives me a hard time when playing him,i think the AI is great,the fact the keepers dont catch it isnt a big deal,the ball moves that much in the air nowadays they hardly ever do.
someone should make a thread about the people who are happy with the game and bar all these moaning cunts,for the past year all people have done is piss and moan even before the game was out,and i barely see a valid reason.argh i aint buying it next year its shit,well dont who gives a shit.

I also found using the less skillful and talented teams a more a rewarding and realistic match experience. The pace is much more realistic and your having to play a much more passing and tactical game rather than counter attack and getting your pacey strikers running around everyone.

Let's hope so man, the more I play it the more I enjoy it though which is good - I've mostly only played with mates so I'm hopefully I'll get into a Master League and enjoy it a lot more.

exactly,fact is people like ronaldinho can easily run rings around people and they do in game,its there consistency in real life that isnt shown in game so they can do it all the time.
im enjoying been man city at the moment,playing through elano,who i made slightly better,and petrov who is fantastic on it.strike force is very average tho but some of the passes plays ive done because i dont have a team of superstars,has been fantastic.pretty much only person i can consistently beat more than 1 person with would be petrov.....
