Ok guys, I tried to get a tournament up and running and finally have ten people willing to take part. Ive decided on a league system to see how things go. I did think it would be cool to have a spreadsheet with all the results which would have been emailed but as there are only ten of us I can just post results and the table here.

I thought we needed some ground rules so here we go -

Matches to be played by the deadline, which will be stated next to each set of fixtures.

If a player is uncontactable so a match cant be played on time then that game will be forfeited as a 5 0 defeat. If there is a reason and it I am made aware beforehand commonsense will prevail and the match can easily be postponed.

Home team should host

Results to be sent to me by pm

Match Length = 10 mins with no extra time or penalties
Default rosters
Condition = Normal
Season = Random
Weather = Random
Injuries = Yes
Boolkings and Sendings off = yes
1v1 ONLY is permitted.

Obviously if we are civil and grown up about this we shouldnt have too many problems. So I want to avoid situations where someone may state "I didnt realise it was a league match" etc

Right already there is a huge backlog of fixtures and if this isnt sorted by next weekend I am either packing the whole thing in or simply starting again with those thatw ant to play. Either way doesnt bother me, but I am really disappointed that people cant provide reasons of why they cant play a game on time.

Anyway these matches are all to be played by midnight next Friday ie June 23rd

I think people should liase by pm or hotmail so people need to check their pms more often.

I will make the deadline 48 hours for future games aftyer we have the first one sorted and out of the way.

I cant play on monday. Remember I live in Holland and I have to know which time you want me there for the match due to time difference.

I think if we set the weather to fine and night, you wont have any problems with rain or snow (when u almost cannot see the ball) and when u play during the day sometimes you cant see the player and radar due to the stadium effects (shadows of the stands)

Do we also know in which server and lobby this tournament will be held. Is it a friendly lobby or is it random pick??

The server used is between you and your opponent. When you arrange the fixture just make sure that you both agree on the time and server

I have PMed Khallid but he has not really responded even though he has logged on after I sent the message. So if he reads this post please send me a PM to confirm a time. It would be perfect to play a match within the next two hours or so.

Well dont panic if people dont get back to you straight away. This is the first time and I know there will be teething problems. Hopefully though people will soon get into the habit of checking pms regularly.

I normally get a message that pops up as soon as I go on this website, which is along the lines of 'you have a message from .... press yes to view it now'. So I don't see how people could fail to realise they have a PM.


Also any chance of a full fixture list that way maybe we could get on with other games. It is just a suggestion to huw, so it isn't vital, but it will just speed things up a bit. Just a thought.

I was robbed in my match against Khallid. I thought he woulld destroy me as he is way higher in the rankings, but I was holding my own for most of the match. Then I wellied it against the post after a low cross from the right. The PSV widemen were dominating as they allways seem to do, and I could have been one up on a few occasions.

BUT THEN... Somehow Michael Owen jumped higher than two of my defenders (one was Alex) and headed in. He then scored a second late on when my defenders developed a phobia for a football and almost all simultaneously ran away from it allowing Khallid to tap it in.

however, thats all part of football, so i can have no complaints. also, we were even in the sense that you outplayed me in the first half but i outplayed you in the second half. shud have been 3-0 tho...LOL
