Guys, had a questions about the player pool in master league?larsson said:I doubt he changed the names from Japanese to English in WE7
SilvesterWong said:the thing i like is that there are alot of pushing and shoving away from the ball. haha.

The clubs are the same as in WE7 and PES3. There are a few new players but the option file will correct everything for you.
Mumpleaser said:I don't want to rain on the collective parade but after playing WE7:I I found it to be almost exactly the same game as PES3. I am very happy that a friend gave me a copy because if I'd have bought it I would have been livid! Before you all start attacking me let me just say that I only managed to play 3 matches so I haven't really given it a chance but as far as I can see it is a step in the right direction, but there is a long way to go to start calling it a 'much better game'.
Try the Japanese version, the players' name is in Japanese. It does not play like PES3 unlike the US Version (players' name is in English). Initially, I admit I don't kind of like the game because it is too fast and the passing is just too accurate. But having played the game the whole of last week, I am beginning to like it. There are times when the excitement is even better than WE7. But then because of the increased speed, players sometimes moonwalk. That is my only grouse and that is why I still vote WE7 as the best soccer game to date.
Like I have said earlier, I did not quite like the game initially. The passing is just too perfect for my liking. On my first game, I was able to string a good number of passes never seen before. In fact, I even scored from a direct pass from the flank, a rare commodity if my records were anything to go by. I was not excited at all over that wonderful volley. It certainly has nothing to do with my skill unless I have improved without knowing it. The passes looked so computer aided. Another thing I found is that I could not dribble as before. The defenders were just too quick. However after playing the game through my annual leave, I 've discovered that the game is not too bad after all. Even though the defenders are much faster, I could beat them on a turn if you know how. In fact,it has never been more satisfying when it comes to beating a tough defender. As for the passing, I am beginning to notice that sometimes the ball does get intercepted so there is no certainty that each pass is perfect. However I would have prefer that the strength of the pass should be based on the pressure we apply on x button and the direction of the ball should be based on the directional button being applied and how our player is positioned. In real life, it is not easy to string so many beautiful passes.Mumpleaser said:I am playing the Jap version! That's the game I'm talking about. I will probably get to like it a bit more after playing it some more but these were my first impressions. Now you've mentioned the passing I feel that the more 'accurate' and faster passing makes the game feel very 'arcade' and I've always liked WE/PES because it's always been the exact opposite, more like a simulation.

larsson said:Agree on that completely mate, it would be almost perfect if the passes were a little bit slower, and if we could decide the strenght of it.
Mumpleaser, if you really don´t see any difference between PES3 and WE7:I Jap you must be drunk Didn´t know that Swedish beer is so good
Play some more matches, give it 2 or 3 more days, and you´ll see the difference. Focus chiefly on the harder dribblings (an improvement IMO), the better crosses and headers, more powerful shots, better response time of the players before shots (not so many blocked shots by the defenders), the improved refs and the nice advantage rule

Funniest thing I've seen (apart from Ice skater bug) is when you foul someone and the ref goes over to the injured player looks down at him, nods his head (and no doubt tutts) then signals to the sideline by impersonating a stretcher carrier (jigging both hands up and down)...especially funny since it was I who fouled Zidane and cost my friend the game.

s it worth the money? Or should i settle with PES3?
