The Patch: Will it Solve the Goalkeeping Woes?

Well, about ten days to go before we see whether Konami have bothered to sort out the goalkeeping fiasco...

Even though I traded the game due to the goalkeeping blunders and lack of officiating (refereeing), I really would like to get PES 2016 again, I'll even trade GTA V as I find that game so boring now (I enjoyed GTA III more to be honest).

So, do you think Konami will actually resolve the gameplay issues? I have very guarded 'optimism', however, going by their track record I do have my doubts...

I hate ice hockey scorelines, I miss getting 0-0 draws (PES 5).

this 'patch' is ONLY for updated squad transfers nothing else. i get 0-0 draws in ML on full manual with 15 minute games and other games finish 5-2 : D

Does that mean there will not be a keeper fix?
I got tired of shootouts in ML and had assumed the 29th would bring some hope. Too bad if not.

Well, according to official PES site, it wont be only squad update/new faces/Maracana stadium for current gen. It also says, it will include MINOR GAMEPLAY fixes or something like that, depending of feedback from PES fans. I actually have no idea of what those will be and how much it will actually fix the entire game. Given that there was mostly negative things about goalkeepers/referees, they might get some treatment. If you guys followed Adam`s or PES tweets, they mentioned that "goalkeepers" are being looked at. It was like few weeks ago. Personally, for me, the biggest problem at the moment is Top Player feels too easy and Superstar is very hardly playable. Not because of the level, I actually really liked it, but because of its bugs that allow you to score many goals in one specific manner. So im kind of in a dead end at the moment and I even dont know what to do with this game. Havent played any match for some time, because there is no solution for me so far and given the fact that mostly goalkeepers were blamed for basketball results, im worried that they will only fix them and leave the defence as it was... But at the same time, there is hope, that when/if they trigger some aspects of the gameplay, it might improve the defence and fix existing glitches. If not... Well. I`ll have to find some kind of solution by my own. I`ll have to, since, unfortunately, FIFA isint much of an alternative.

keepers reactions need a minor tweak just so they react better when the ball is going past them as they make the save too late, as for SS and taking advantage of the glitch or bug where you can score easily then i suggest you try manual passing and shooting this will make the game a'lot tougher to create chances and indeed finish them.

I also read about the proposed minor gameplay fixes- and I hope that Mr Bhatti wasn't 'blagging' (this time) about the goalkeeping being 'looked at...'

I stopped playing because it was far too easy to score (manual shots) on 'Top Player'- I normally play on 'Professional!' Too easy to concede goals, also! I actually bought FIFA 16 and am very happy with it, I just literally threw a game away in the 86th minute- I should have had my 'keeper KICK the ball, NOT throw it (to an opposing player)! It was a great game really, it ended 1-1.

I love football games, so if Konami fix the 'keepers I'll probably get it again (pre-owned). The refereeing is a pain also in PES 2016, but the goalkeepers are KEEPING me from purchasing this game (again) right now!

GOALIES should be a top priority.
They can do amazing saves but at the same time, they'll let the ball pass them even if it's just a foot away from their faces/bodies.
It's okay if the player attempted a strong shot less than 10 yards away from the goalie, but it happens even if it was attempted 11 to 15 yards away. :realmad:

Hi gamers

I admit goalies in this game are not well designed, some close range shots cant be saved thats fine, because keepers have no time to respond quickly enough, just like in real football. But some shots from very tight angles definitely should be saved, also some 1on1 shots. I cant notice the obvious difference between a world class keeper like Buffon and an average goalie, Buffon at times is powerless to prevent a goal which is meant to be in the net (CPU decides that) just like an ordinary keeper will behave, but Buffon should make some remarkable saves that other keepers will never do.There is nearly no difference between a keeper rating 71 and a keeper 85 in terms of saving unstoppable goals.

I dont have internet connections, so will have to play the game without a patch, its pretty annoying, but I can take that. For me playing this game is still fun on Super Star LV. I know sooner or later this game will get boring, so I have Bloodborne as my backup game, there are over 20 bosses(including optional bosses) in Bloodborne, its a lengthy game, dont need to worry about having no games to play on PS4.

Hi who, I can understand your saying about playing on TP LV and SS LV, using games bugs is a simple way to score and makes this game cheap, why bother struggling so much to score on SS LV, and CPU will score some cheated goals straight after to equalize or win anyway. I just found sportsmanship and fair play dont really exist in this game on SS LV with CPU, if CPU can walk over us by cheating, why cant we use game bugs to beat CPU with ease. I will NEVER say that this game is great as long as scripting stays in PES series, thats why sometimes I really hate this game. Dark souls series games are legendary, bosses are tough as nails, but with proper equipment and combat strategy, the victory can be achieved. The boss in Dark souls games wont cheat, if its dead, then its done for.
