Do u have hd tv I dont maybe thats why I might also try upgrading my firmware to the newest see if that makes any kind of difference I doubt it will. I am getting desperate. Ive never been so let down by a game ever.

I haven't touched any of The settings on my PS3. Mine has ran smoother since I've installed in onto the HDD.

It's slow.. it's making me crazy.. I tried the install data... without it... and both go slow.. not only at corners, but all the time.. it's unacceptable...

this is not acceptable how ign gave it 9.2 is madness, this is the worst pro evo ever, i hate the music and the slow down is like being online with someone who has the worst connection. constantly jerky

Ok the music isn't great but let's face, when has it ever been on pro. As for the rest of your comment I think we have a different game :unsure:

Slowdown due to non HD TV!!!

Guys, I bought the game this morning and it runs horribly on a standard TV.....slowdown is one thing but on a standard TV PES2008 misses frames!

Any way I was truly disappointed and was going to get my money back when i thought i'd take it down a mates house (who has a HDTV) Tried it on his HDTV through the HDMI port. Installed the game from the options menu and the game runs fine....with a tiny bit of slowdown. (nothing like on a standard tv) There is notable slowdown in the replays but that didnt bother me.

Unfortunately I own a standard TV...so it means that i have to fork out about a grand to get a bloody HDTV. Konami should be shot for not making this playable on a standard TV!!!!!

Simply no excuse for the poor framerate on PS3.

ive just tried the install method there is no improvement, throughly disappointed wonder what the 360 version is like

Apparently they had problems porting the 360's version to the PS3, but not to the PC. You guys are experiencing similar problems to the ones we PC users had with PES 3, which for a lot of people ran too slow AND too fast (i.e. slow near the box but too fast in midfield). Those problems disappeared in PES 4. I'd bet PES 2009 won't have those issues, but Konami should be sued for releasing crap ports such as these.

Been excited all week. And I am picking the game up today.... Why aren't I as excited as I should be ?!?!?! :|

Anyways... I have a HD tv...a ps3 waiting ....and another HD tv in bedroom incase the gf needs the living room.... haha!

Ive read some scary comments regarding the online play...and I have to say...if that is gonna f*** up my weekend.... I'll be sooooo dissapointed.

Camera angle,lads. What do you use? If you use wide it may be the problem. I go long myself and haven't had any problems.

I wasn't going to register on these forums as I was just browsing but you took the words right out of my mouth! Seatrout, absolutely brilliant! Isn't the guy useless, as I remember didn’t he say Pes 08 would be worth the wait, lol I basically got a PS3 for this game and to be told that there is slowdown is a disgrace. I hope the developers feel embarrassed and to say that haven’t got a clue why it does it is really worrying...

Got my Ps3 only for PES 2008 and yes the slowdown is awful despite all the methods I used. And to be frank, if we must treat our PS3s like old PCs (patches, configuration alterations, no blu-ray specs etc) because of Konami's lazyness or haste, then shame to Seabass and co. That's why we never saw a Ps3 demo and most of the videos and pix where from the much better Xbox360 version after all :no:
