The worst goal keepers in any football game ever. A must see.

I had my doubts about the goalkeepers in this game. The first time I saw my keeper not even bother to dive for an easy shot a month or two ago I was worried. The following video proves this to be one of the most badly made football games of all time in certain aspects. Why? Because Konami actually forgot to program the keepers to dive. What a shocker. Seabass deserves the sack for this. This and PES2008. And PES2009. And PES2010.

If anyone is wondering my keepers stats here are both above 80 for GK Skill and Responsiveness.

I also managed to get the goal back and draw the game. Do people from Konami actually read this stuff? Judging by the last 3 games I would say not so much.

That's a shocking video. Never experienced that before. I have to say the keepers in pes 11 are better than pes 10 though. The keepers in pes 10 used to make a sliding tackle for no reason when coming outta their area.

One of my defenders got sent off because the AI thought it would be a good idea to make a sliding tackle when it was the last defender and it had no chance of getting the ball.

I have to say Konami don't make it easy to like PES anymore. If FIFA had unlimited seasons and a half decent career mode I would switch tomorrow.

I'd say PES 2011 is as bad as 2010 but for different reasons. They've managed to fix some parts of the game like passing but ruined others such as player movement, AI, keepers, shooting, dribbling, first touch, tackling, referees, defending, player selection, corners, heading and crossing.

80s? Bah, I've had a keeper with 99 Defense, Response, GK Skills and the 1-on-1 card do much worse, & more than once at that! It's annoying, but it's *usually* not game-breaking (unless the AI has that bug up its bum to screw you over), as it was in '08, though AIDS isn't as bad as the goalkeeping in '08 was, to be fair.

this may help you... when you press square to command a team mates pressure, he will tackle when square is released, releasing square at the wrong time will cause unwanted slides/fouls.

Dude... the parts that you described as not fixed actually makes up a whole footie game.

I still wonder why we bother with PES, isn't it clear to us that this game will never be anything but crap?

Agree. But the thing i Hate is all games Have there goods and Bads and the problem with Football (Soccer) Games is that FIFA has its ups and downs. And PES just happens to be better at the downsides of fifa. But is Shit with The Upsides. For eg. MANAGER MODE (FIFA) you can change teams. PES has no such thing. and they dont plan on "Copying" it either. yet when PES designed BAL. That same year FIFA had Be a Pro.

KONAMI needs to look at what is challenging them. because right now. i dont feel like wasting anymore money on These games that add 1 feature a year.

That was my point. I think there are two main problems with Konami to be serious for a moment.

1. PES2011 is still a PS2 game. BIG MISTAKE. PES2011 should have been an XBOX360/PS3 game from the start, and scaled down for a PS2 and other less powerful systems. Not the other way around.

2. Graphics. Before PES2008, PES developers didn't really bother with trying to out graphic FIFA. The graphics were just good enough, and it was all about gameplay.

PES3 was and is the best gameplay ever made. But the graphics were very average even by the standards back then.

Now its the other way around. I really hope Konami actually do nothing with PES2012 but fix the damn gameplay and truly create a next gen GAMEPLAY engine.

I mean this is PES: Who gives a crap about graphics and all the other fluff they seem to be obsessed with now.

GAMEPLAY Konami! Get your act together.

I really hope 2K or someone comes in to make a football game, I think Konami have had more than enough of a chance. Until Seabass gets his lazy ass fired it will be more of the same each year. You can guarantee PES 2012 won't be much different in terms of game play, because Pro Evo is still a PS2 game first. Konami don't have a clue, and FIFA is still FIFA.

The goalkeepers seem a lot better than the other xbox 360 PES games to me!

Am I in the minority?

They are not perfect but don't make as many mistakes as they did on PES 08, 09 and 10.

Actually, making the game good is supposed to be Konami's job. Not the gamers. Soon as they figure that bit out we might get somewhere.

True, and hopefully Konami do that for next years version. However, that doesn't change the fact that this year's version could stand to do with some tweaking, and with the great tools from the community, it's as easy as ever.

What are the AGILITY stats of your goalkeepers? What if this is the problem? Maybe "wooden" keeper can't stand up in time to save, and also can't throw himself to the ground with finesse.

I wonder if the player of the defending team not just pressed Triangle to get the keeper out and miscalculated so the keeper ran off the ball. Cuz it happens often that the keeper miscalculates the direction of a running ball and ends up running after it instead of taking a path intercepting it....
