Things I hate about this game...

i hate the way the computer cant take easy chances if they did then i would make the game a lot harder and more realistic

or when they are though they will slow down and lok for a pass why?
and i beat real madrid 8-1 on aggregate in the champs league semis all i want is the games to be closer
i let in 7 goals all season on 6* surly they should be better than that

The shooting in the game is terrible. I would go as far as saying it ruins the game for me. I'm sick of only being able to score one on ones using the lob or by rounding the keeper. Henry would not miss 100% of his chances in a one on one situation. Shooting in general is abysmal too though, and at times it feels like there's an invisible sheet of cling film covering the goal. The free kick system is also terrible, and throw-ins have inexplicably been downgraded since Pro Evo 3. I honestly think the shooting is so bad that it pulls the whole game down

I don't see why people complain so much about shooting. You don't see players scoring screamers every game, so why should it happen in PES4 ?

I even score loads of spectacular shots, you just have to learn and adjust to the new shooting system. When I first bought PES4, my mate scored 3 scorchers in our first 2 games. Use the training option, it would stop you crying about shooting.

It's not necessarily that they are difficult to score, it's more that the shooting in the game just feels wrong. Most the time it is very difficult to get any power whatsoever behind a shot, and it seems like a completely random process as to whether a shot will end up on target or not. One on Ones are totally impossible to score without using lobs, rounding the keeper or getting a fortunate rebound, and it seems impossible to score from certain angles that even average players wouldn't find difficult to slot home.

It's so frustrating when you're playing a closely fought game and manage to finally slice open a defence, only for your player to practically pass it to the keeper. I don't even get excited when I have clear one on ones any more. Just now I played a game where I had Henry totally free with the keeper. I wasn't even excited, and surprise surprise, the lob went wide of the post from a totally central position. I'm sorry, but the shooting in Pro Evo 4 is a huge dissapointment.

at first i would get frustrated not being able to score on 1on1's but its all down to timing and correct direction, i hardly miss 1on1's,......u have to anticipate when the keepr is goin to charge and which way is best for beating the keeper and a more definate goal (don't aim for short post).....one on ones aren't exciting because like in real life they're almost a certain goal.
whats hard is to get the headers and first time shots powerful enough.....the headers are def my worst part of the game, i don't even bother to win headers in contest in he middle of the park coz i'll miss hit it or yet again lose the contest...with first time it like takes ages for the player to wind up and smack the ball on the sweet spot ala steve gerrad(sp?..gerrad or gerard) and when you do hit it an obnoxious defender doin an kung-fu kick or horizontal splits get in the way.......

and the stupid drum pounding chant, it gets annoying hearing it all the time...

do u mean the chant at the beginning of every match. If so how do u get 2 hear that chant. It was on the demo cant find it on the game ive bin lookin everywhere

This is kinda opposite of good keepers but i hate when ive taken a heavy free kick 40m out and the keeper saves it but when you look at the replay he didnt touch it his hand is no where near the ball like some magnetic force is keeping the ball out. that is so annoying

If I answered this question about a month ago, then I'd say the shooting because at first I wasn't scoring, and I used to score loads in PES3. But now I've actually got used to it, and I've noticed it is about the timing and direction which is different to PES3.

But now, what I don't like is when your playing against the COM and your playing 5* or 6* difficulty level I've noticed that the COM likes to chip the ball over your defence now every now and then, with their striker scoring from 2 yards out. I've lost count at how many times the COM has done that to me.

The other one is sometimes when your in the oppositions penatly box against the COM or multiplayer and the ref blows for a foul against you, even though you had the ball and was only trying to get a shot on goal. That's happened quite a lot.

But they are just the annoying bits, I don't really hate any part of the game.

Yap, you can just be running along with the ball and the CPU runs straight into your player and you get a foul given against you.

Also, in editing - I find the fact that you can't simply go to change a default players hair colour...it resets to a skinhead, annoying.

yeah i've found that very annoying as of late i wanted to give beckham his new (grown) hairstlye only for it to reset this hair and facial hair and thanks to that i can't get his orignal facial hair back now i daren't mess with anyone elses faces in case they get messed up

i hate it when you takel the computer and then there is a referrey sign at the top right then the commentatar says no fouls says the ref after when the yello ting is still there and when you get the ball it says fould but pes4 is good and also halo 2

I hate it when people score THAT goal against me on live.
The run round and round until they can pass it to the unmarked guy to tap in.
God damn the amount of times I have wanted to put my pad throught the TV screen. Score good goals for a change!!!

I agree with you on that one Benghis. There are even people who use a certain tactic that is designed to take advantage of that goal. I have played people on these forums who only seem to know how to score the one type of goal. It's very frustrating. I also don't like people who time waste when they're winning by a single goal. I've played people who piss time away by passing between their backline. It's fucking annoying, and it's bad sportsmanship.

I always carry on playing as normal, even if I'm winning 1-0 in injury time.

*Edit: Also, I really don't like people who watch all their goal replays, especially when they're banal, mediocre and unimportant goals. And people who don't realise you can skip goal celebrations as well as the replays.

Here's the things that piss me off:

1. Shooting. The animations can be rubbish sometimes, they just dont look realistic. Also when you go to hit a hard shot from range and the ball just rolls pathetically along the ground.

2. Crowd noise. Gets worse as every time. No atmosphere.

3. Editor. Kits available in editor are laughable, (bad designs, no stripes etc). PES3 had a superb kit editor so why the backward step? (Sponsor editor is a plus, though)

4. Crowd animations. Still pretty bad. And why is the crowd grey in winter games? Most fans still wear their teams colours in the winter. Also, why are the away fans in the kop end at anfield?

5. You can't play the long ball game properly. Usually when i punt the ball forward to a player in space, he fluffs the ball when controlling it and the ball somehow ends up behind him. It's like the game doesn't want you to play long ball.


.........apart from this, its the best game ever.
