Thinking of getting EUR PES '09

Ok. As frustrating and as impatient I am I simply cannot ignore all the awesome eur. option files out there :(. NA hardly gets any love with up-to-date OFs even if we have phenominally done work but I am still not satisfied.

I figured if the online ever got fixed I will simply use my NA game.
Then the EUR game will be for heavy duty offline play with the awesome OFs. What do you guys think? Good or bad decision?

Second question... for people who own the EUR version IN the USA how easy/difficult is it to download the updates from konami's EUR server?

if your on xbox 360 the euro OFs work just fine... not sure about on PS3, but they work no problem on 360

I have been a PES purists since it first started and I played it mostly on the playstation brand. It just doesn't feel right on the xbox. My opinion obviously.

It you want to blow another 50 bucks, go ahead.. since you have the NA game you can play it online, but online is pretty bad regardless. The euro OF are nice, but for me, i like to the support the game here and do editing myself... now I dont go into it hard core like some do as I want to play and i dont put out the OF since I dont want people requesting this or that and or telling me I did this wrong etc... but in the end a OF will not make the game any better then what you have now. a decent OF with pngs, and chants add on your own, and the game rocks. I think its a waste of your money, like I said to each their own.

get mrgametights OF I'm doing my own OF right now and all EPL kits are done in the style of mufcsean all La Liga kits are done as well and I've begun adding the Bundesliga so far Werder and Bayern are comp done. I would have agreed with you about a month ago when I bought the game yeah the NA OF's were non-existent only becasue the game hasnt been out for very long! I've done so much editing myself you'll find a lot of the NA users are indeed active in creating OF's

Thanks for the reasurrance guys. But I am such an impatient mofo I guess :(. Von's is just tooooo good at the moment and I'll be travelling to africa soon because of xmass. I doupt if any close to von's will be good at such short terms.

Could anyone with the Euro version in the US answer my final question? If I can't get the update online from here no point in getting the game.

You can order the PAL version from renchi. I just got mine and it works perfectly fine. I still kept my NA version for playing friends online though. I'll admit, the OF (I used the Von OF) is amazing, and it looks like he updates it regularly. Anyways, here's what you do. The game cost me $100 Canadian, not sure what that would convert to in US$. The game was here in about 3 days (ships for Hong Kong) Make sure you order the PAL version because they sell all formats. While you waiting for the game to come in go to the UK playstation site and set up an account as if you were a UK resident. You cannot update to 1.20 otherwise. Once you get you game, just follow the update instructions, install your OF of choice, and you are golden.

Very easy. Took a matter of minutes. Especially nowadays where the server won't be clogged up with so many peeps downloading the update.

EU PES09 benefits from a wider range of OF's and the 1.20 update. I haven't heard any news on a US 1.20 update yet.....

Thanks for taking time to give me such a feedback. Appreciated. FYI I ordered mine from YesAsia.com (the PES Euro version). Its supposed to come in Dec 9th I think.

Typical konami bs. They probably feel the US isn't into football nearly as much as EU and feel they can shaft us in the ass. Well screw them. It didn't take them up to a week or so before a 1.20 update came up in EU so why the delay in the US?

The Euro 1.20 update came out 3 1/2 - 4 weeks after the euro release. It should be out soon, silly its taking this long but oh well.

the usa 1.2 update will be late, maybe in febraury.. I got the uk version becuase i have a lot of optionfile tu use...

When you did set up your account did you put your address or a uk address.

Why not if you afford to pay?......i'm owned eur version pes09, i'm stay at malaysia....it will take about 5 hours to complete overall update + install....
