Youtube is bugged

Anyway, youtube isn't the only thing bugged, so is the collision on pes. Everyone says pes has better collsion than fifa's impact engine but this is yet another example showing why fifa's one is superior. I mean when i first heard about pes's new collsion system few months ago, I was like atlast, it's a 2012 game, but know you still have players going through posts, players, refs.

It's ridiculous and KONAMI need to sort this out

YOU OBVIOUSLY FAILED TO SEE THIS IN FIFA 12.

Seriously, this was supposed to be awesome? Because if you watch fifa 12's replay in close action, THE IMPACT ENGINE FAILS on many occasions. I mean if it was realistic, some impacts would be better suited for a wrestling game rather than a football game and you will mostly see twisted hands and legs, if you zoom in the replay.

I agree that fifa has a better collision system, but come on don't be 1 sided. BOTH ARE FLAWED. It's a matter of taste. And this isn't what this thread is about.

That video was played backwards.
Anyway, I'm talking about collisions as in hands going thorugh eachother or other things going thorugh players like this

This doesn't happen in fifa 12 does it. I agree though how players react in response to the collisions

^YEAH PES FAILS HARD IN THOSE SITUATIONS ;). However, the thing is that from a distance you do not see the collisions in fifa, and if you zoom, you'll see alot of twisted arms and legs. I expected a much more refined collision system in Fifa 12, because the whole game was marketed in having this new impact engine.

I don't blame FIFA for the impact engine as it does fail but it's the first time they introduced it. Also, the motion capture on pes needs to improve- when you play it on 720p, you'll notice that the posts look jagged from an angle so it flows better on 480p. They REALLY NEED to improve the motion capture.

YOYOYO PEOPLE!!!!!! Why don't you just chill a little and laugh for a moment instead of throwing "fail" word around. "Improve" and "blame" aren't welcome either. No FIFA this PES this please.

I think EA made the right move with the impact engine. The old style hitbox/canned animations in games like PES are showing their age IMO. The current gen games should make more use of physics and per-polygon collisions, like the impact engine. Backbreaker uses similar technology (at least from a high level) and I think the results are amazing.

It's EA's first game using the impact engine and it obviously needs a lot of tweaking and bug fixes. But I think its potential is huge and by FIFA 2013 it should be vastly improved. It's a start but it's one huge step beyond its competitors.

I know making a negative comment about PES on these forums will insult people, but PES' animations and collisions look primitive in comparison. I know a lot of people don't care about that, and fair enough. But shouldn't developers be doing more with the current hardware?
