I don't really care about the kit thing, to be honest. Whenever I could get the updated kits on the PS2 it was just a nice added bonus. It didn't improve my enjoyment of the game that much.

I don't know why everyone thinks the PS3 version will be any better than the 360 version either. looking at screenshots of PS3 games, there difference is minimal at best.

This machine is much more powerful than the xbox and ps2 yet you cant edit kits?????? I'm raging!!! Someone needs a kicking for this. They don't understand PES players at all. I guarantee there's a load of people out there who have bought the 360 cos they were expecting a much better game than ps2. Now that aint happening!!!! I'm sure the game itself will be great, it always is, but I doubt it'll be greatly different to the ps2 game, graphics obviously aside. Yes I see you can change the players around transferwise etc but it made the game unbelievable when your unlicensed team walked out with full kit and badge etc. I dont want to see teams running out in a full blue strip, nothing on it, and calling themselves North London Blue or whatever. Honestly thats cack!!

at least for this year anyway.
now I no the fifa haters are gonna say thats rubbish well i was a fifa hater once until this year that is.
konami slightly improve titles each year but there seems to be less and less added each year. these days, they seem to add 1 thing but take 2 things away from us i am starting to get bored with the same old master league and it will be really dull with out authentic kits or the ability to edit them ourselves.

In fact f**k it this has made me really angry when you pay £50 for a game why should you have to put up with the likes of west midlands village and ryan greggs. the money were shelling out for this game should be put back into aquiring licences, its not that konami cant get them, its just they wont pay the money
if you buy a pair of nike trainers for £50 would you also pay £50 for a pair of rip off trainers called hike. ? I think not

I almost really hope fifa does come out in front of pes this year it might give konaimi the kick up the arse they need and some would say they deserve

How do you know that? Seeing as Fifa has exclusive licenses with many leagues, it's incredibly difficult (and expensive) to acquire licenses for each individual team. In every interview you see, Seabass is always talking about they're trying to get more leagues, it's just not a case of 'pay me x amount of money and you'll get the license' it's much more complicated than that.

That's a bad comparison. I wouldn't call Pro evo a rip off just because they don't have the proper kits, it plays a much more realistic game of football than Fifa (having played the fifa 07 demo, fifa is still light years behind pro evo) and is well worth the £40 it will cost.

I can't believe anyone is gonna a buy a shit game (Fifa) purely on the basis of kits. Could you really put up with slow, unresponsive gameplay just because portsmouth have their proper kit on?

I didnt mean that pes was a rip off. I just meant i just dont think it should have the same price tag of a game that has paid money for all the licencing,
however good pes is we want simulation not arcade pes is the closest sim you will ever get to football, but no real kits lets it down big time and reduces the belief that you are playing in the premiership and simulating our beautiful game
i have always bought a console purely for the football i just want pes to be authentic and feel like im playing the real thing

there are so many people like you and me who bought the 360 purely for pes only to be let down big time.
konami are losing there following thick and fast, which is very sad,
but we have had to put up with the same old master league for so long now, the no edit is just the last straw for many people
im 39 and love the pes series cant imagine life without it so unless fifa 07 release comes up with something amazing, i guess the time has come for me to swap my gaming for the pipe and slippers, or go back to the dredded subbuteo for some realism

i think thats a fair point as everything at the moment is just rumour. you somehow cannot see konami releasin a statement on the matter this close to release anyhow.

i cannot believe some of you want to buy fifa just because pro might not have the ability to edit kits. that is just insane. talk about kneejerk.

also if anyone bought the 360 just for pro evo likewise they are insane. u either buy the 360 because you think you will prefer it over the ps3 (as the ps3 isnt out you cant really judge between them) or you buy pro evo on the ps2 or xbox and then wait to see how the next gens do before making a next gen cole purchase.

im sorry but i still cannot get my head around people buying fifa just because pevo might not have a kit editor. have you seen how easy it is to score in fifa 2007 for a start- esp from half way line! no doubt the latest fifa installment is more fluid but to get a game just because if has licensed kits- thats going back to the main reason why people bought fifa in the first place- and why gamers stuck to pro evo because they wanted realism in their gameplay not in their graphics

You can see in the fourth picture there are only 2 master league modes but in pes5 they were 3! The missing mode is the one where you could create your own team. So I can figure that there is no kit editor... I hope my guess is wrong
