To stay or not to stay (BAL)

Should you stay with your first team that is really bad for some time to make your player better or just hop teams after season? Because I think I read somewhere that staying with one team for 5 years was good...

I've never stayed at any team for longer than 1 season ... but I have finally made it to Chelsea. We'll see if they're willing to take me longer than a season.

i advise staying only if you enjoy playing for them and get the chances to shine. i stayed @ newcastle for 2 and a half seasons and im nearing my third season with tottenham

Honestly I play on the beginner mode so I find success everywhere I go. I scored about 100 goals and 40 assist this season so I think I should move on and do that on every league. Also how do you start with a high freekick rating? I started as SMF with 87 agility and very low shooting but I maxed out kick technique for a whole season and my freekick and swerve increased by only 6 points to 61. It is impossible to take freekicks in the scouting game i believe so is there another way to increase your freekick during the scouting match?

Yeah dude...

You really oughta increase the difficulty to like, Regular (at the least).

It's no fun playing agains't a cheating AI but it's no fun playing agains't a mindless one.

beginner?? if you were just starting or playing with crap team on ML i wouldnt care, but beginner on BAL?? i cant imagine how easy it is and un-rewording it is. turn it to regular on the end of the season and i ensure you you would have much better time.

for me playing on beginner is relieving because i can score anytime I want. It will be nice if my teammates knew how to score when I send a cross. To know that I have the ability to score anytime I want makes the game relaxing and enjoyable because I'm in no pressure. I guess that's just my personality :) Well I finally increased my freekick accuracy and swerve to 87 after 5 seasons. However, one thing that makes me mad is the fact that the game gets harder and harder each season. I purposely put on beginner mode to play on easy not to play on hard but the game gets harder progressively. I know that it got harder because on my first season the keepers rarely moved or saved and now they keeper charge and dive to divert a shot. I think it is messed up that Konami does not allow you to stay on beginner forever.

It is possible to win silverwear on Top Player as I just claimed the Treble with Manchester United in my most successful season to date. Prior to that, though, I had no winners' medals to my name from six seasons. I do believe that it was worth the wait, the struggle, the frustration, etc, because it made succeeding that much more enjoyable. I beat the best that the game had to throw at me. Finally. And there's a feeling of accomplishment in doing so.

But games are all about enjoyment, and if you're not enjoying the learning curve required to level out on the higher difficulties then there's nothing wrong with playing at a lower difficulty for the sake of enjoyment. Personally I always go for the highest difficulty on sports games. And no lower than medium difficulty on action / adventure titles and the like.

As for staying with your first team for longer than is required. If they're blooding you with the first team and they play good football, then I'd say stick around. I left Wigan due to the fact they rarely gave me a look-in and they were abysmal as a team. I moved to Bolton who gave me more first team opportunities and played okay football, so I remained for two seasons until Spurs came knocking. I would have remained at Spurs for more than a season had it not been for Manchester United (the only team I'd have left for) putting in an offer for my services. I'm in my third season with Manchester United and I can see myself staying for a few more, at the very least. If I am to ever depart Old Trafford it will be to go abroad.

i stayed at Genoa for 2 seasons i think, only coz the teamwork of that team was real good, they passed and crossed alot, where-as wen i was at Wigan they sucked and tried runnin through defences with the likes of Heskey, who im sorry, couldnt carry a bag... its however u want to experience ur BAL in my opinion, stay if u want change club if u want, some teams offer different positions, its always good to have different positions, but its also a down point, depending where u actually wanna play, its ur choice in my opinion.

I've grown very close to Paris St-Germain by playing PES09.

Simply because the team is one that you can start in and go on and win silverware with.

The team is not so overly good that you'll have a hard time getting into the match day squads but more than good enough to provide backing to you.

I started at them with my first BAl character and I did the same this time around. And it seems that, after the 1.3 patch, the A.I got much smarter. I actually enjoy playing with my teammates now.

Then again, with the 4-4-2 that PSG plays with now, as opposed to the 4-5-1 in an earlier patch, it's much more easier to get backup when you're on the offensive runs.
