Thanks to everyone who made this map possible – cant name them all coss theres too many – all the credit goes to them. Ive just tried to make things a little more easier to understand. I do this for myself but I thought id share it with everyone

Hope this helps

Its taken from different threads in the forums and put together with extras from me with some little tips if your new to editing. If theres anything u think is wrong or you’ve found something new please help out and I will update in due time. Please check the correct forum thread for any errors u may have regarding the use of GGS, waterloo etc etc as everything as been covered many time already

Kits
To replace kits use game graphic studio 5.9.9 from ocabocaman.

Increase Reserved Space -> Load defaults for WE9 kits -> Proceed. You NEED to do this first! (if your using an already full kits patch and just need to change certain kit to your suit your needs ignore this) also u must use shared palettes kits for home and away if u want to swap shorts and use away shorts with home shirt etc. until all kits are made with shared palettes I wouldn’t be too concerned with this.

Use these settings for all kits to make unliscenced so that u can replace every kit in game with no problems, even use we9 template – setting everything to default unliscenced makes things a lot easier! HAWKES kit patch is a good example of this. all default kits. but please remember when inserting each kit in GGS to keep these settings:

Collar: change this to suit - Default unlicenced kits - wotever your using –
** always keep the "use same type" box unchecked

1)only insert bmp kit over 1st bin in kit set and this will change all the other bins for that kit. GGS is set to do this

2) you must set a kit to default in the game editor in-game also. just go to edit the kit and press then select default. you must do it for every kit you've imported. If you’ve change all kits and want them all set to default ingame then use 4) below or 3) if your using your own option file

3)Please remember that because all kits are set to default u must use the strip data from your option file. U can use any other option file must u must have 2 mem cards to transfer the strip data from yours to the other to keep the kits at default:

4) You need to have 2 mem cards. if so do this: (ill use weamerica OF as an example)
1.put a mem card with weamerica OF in slot1
2. put a mem card with my OF in slot2
3. start the game,go to edit mode,go to save data manager & choose teams>all teams>strip & then press copy,all strip attributes will be transfered from my OF to weamerica OF ,now save the OF in slot1 & use this as your OF.
4. All kits will now appear correctly

In the shirt number bin file are 2 pallette files. 1st = home shorts, 2nd = away shorts (for palette shared kits only)

Use waterloos tool: WE9_set_default_color 4.0.1 last after inserted kits to change collars etc (please note that all numbers and letters colours are now done in GGS not waterloos tool – also your option file as letters bend, shorts number placements which can all be done in game etc, and u use GGS to do collars u don’t need waterloo tool! – ive had no luck as yet with waterloos tool, causes black screen of death on load – use at own risk)
I would suggest using waterloo hex tool instead if needed.

* only use The 3D models 08, 09, 0B, 0C (Japan), 0D(Korea). These are suitable for the old template in we8 + we8le and any old kits from any other pes or we.

Again, the 3D Models 0C(Japan), 0D (Korea) are use for and it seems can remove flag/badge in kits of international teams
Before using waterloos tool u need to prepare:
1.Extract unknow_00019.bin or unnamed_19.bin from O_TEXT.AFS with GGS or DKZ
2. Use we6fe_zlib_tool to decompress it as 5 files, unknow_00019.bin_000, unknow_00019.bin_001, unknow_00019.bin_002, unknow_00019.bin_003, unknow_00019.bin_004
3. Extract/copy file SLPM_660.09 to same directory in step 2
4. There should at least 7 files in this directory, they are unknow_00019.bin, unknow_00019.bin_000, unknow_00019.bin_001, unknow_00019.bin_002, unknow_00019.bin_003, unknow_00019.bin_004, and SLPM_660.09
Usage of waterloos tool:
1.Input/Browse the file unknow_00019.bin, and click "Retrieve file" NOW YOUR READY TO MAKE CHANGES
2.WHEN FINISHED CHANGES "Save file", use we6fe_zlib_tool or other similar tools to import the files unknow_00019.bin_000, unknow_00019.bin_001, unknow_00019.bin_002 to unknow_00019.bin
3.Import back unknow_00019.bin to O_Text.AFS with GGS, or DKZ Studio.
* we9 features only last seasons teams. Ie… Norwich city, Southampton, etc. use KOSOSV3 or other option file to change these into season 05-06 teams and transfers

Stadiums
Stadia are now split into SIX separate files: Day fine, day rain, day snow, night fine, night rain, night snow. Each stadium base file comes at the start of three bin files - the second one contains stuff for that stadium when it appears in the Go-For-2006 Nippon Challenge thing.

how to change the stadium names in over.afs. Without using an OF:
1-over.afs
2-must extract the files
3-then hex edit appropriate ones with the stadium names..becareful not to encroach upon a used block or itll crash the game You must extract unnamed_1 and unnamed_3 from the over.afs file

O_SOUND.AFS


instructions
1.- 5 chants per team

2.- Use AFS Explorer to import the .adx,because i don't know why, the GGS of obocaman recognize the files as .bin and not as .adx

3.- The format is the same as we8, 24hz, stereo without loop.

4.- better use .wav files, because is more easy convert .wav to adx and is more easy edit a .wav, and the size has to be smaller or exact size compared with the originals.

5.- If you burn your game with Nero using UDF/ISO mode (where you select all the files instead of the whole iso) you can have a very big O_SOUND.AFS. SO you can enter the whole song into the O_SOUND.AFS with DKZ Studio


How to make music adx files for the game:
1-Open your favorite mp3 song (lets call it Lokeren.mp3 as an example) with Nero wave Editor and convert audio sample to 24000ghz, then save the Lokeren.mp3 as Lokeren.wav file.

2-Loop the Lokeren.wav file to Lokeren.adx using adxencd:
Make directory f.e. "music" on you root dir C:\ and place your edited Lokeren.wav and adxencd files here.
Go to Start --> Run and type in cmd
type cd C:\music
type adxencd Lokeren.wav hit enter
Some text appears but only the bottom number is relevant (sample rate f.e.565171)
type adxencd Lokeren.wav -lps0 -lpe"565171"

3-Enter the Lokeren.adx file in O_SOUND.AFS with DKZ Studio.
...Repeat all the above for as many songs you want...

4-Rebuild the AFS and save it.

5-Burn the game using nero burning rom with the newly created O_SOUND.AFS

Building a new iso
after all editing is done u need to burn the dvd. Use this guide below for best results:

1.Extract the files from the your iso.
a) Create a new folder on your hard drive to store the extracted files.
b) Open Apache 2 and click on file > open file.
c) Navigate to the .iso file and click on "open".
d) choose no_label in the left box of apache2 and right click the mouse, choose "extract all". of them and click on "extract".
e) Navigate to the new folder that you created on your hard drive and click "ok".
f) Wait for the process to finish then close Apache 2 .

2.Convert the extracted files into an .iml file to rebuild the .iso
a) Open CD/DVDGEN.
b) Select "create new project" and then select "DVD-ROM Master Disc". Drag CD/DVDGEN to the left of your screen.
c) Navigate to the folder that you created on your hard drive, back in step 2 and open it on the right of your screen.
d) Set the view in folder options to list . This will place the files into the same order as they were on the game DVD .
e) Scoop them all up so that ther' all highlighted and drag all the files (17) into the right side of CD/DVDGEN.
f) Then click on the "Volume" tab in CD/DVDGEN - type SLPM into the 1st box near "Disc Name" and 66009 into the 2nd box.
g) Type PLAYSTATION for the producer name and select JAPAN for licence area.
h) Click File > Export iml file, & save to the same folder as all your files and name the file WE9.
i) When its finished you will have 2 files named WE9.iml AND WE9.ims.
j) Close CD/DVDGEN .

3.Convert the extracted files into an iso image .
Open Apache 2 again & Click File > Import IML File & select the WE9.iml file from the folder where you saved it.
All files will be imported ,you should check that there's 17 files .
Then Click File > Build Iso ,choose a directory for your iso & name it WE9,wait for it to finish building .
Done !!!!! Burn!!!




* You could also use the Nero DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO)way but ive been informed of many problems with people not getting this to work and causing the black screen of death.



How to create patches with dkz studio for easier editing

if your patched iso is bigger than the clean iso (which will be the case if you've inserted kits in we9 or pes5) then you must make a dkz patch

i'm currently using dkz studio v0.83b, to make a patch all you need to do is check the box at the side of every edited file then click PATCH > CHECKED FILES TO PATCH, once it's added all the files you should have a new tab called patch, click it and click FILE > SAVE AS and save it as a dkz patch



How to create a PPF patch to upload and share your work/patch with others on the internet

* DKZ patches are lots easier and don’t overwrite the entire ISO.

for ppf patches you need 2 iso's that are exactly the same size, 1 clean and the other patched

i always use makeppf3.exe which comes with ppf-o-matic3

put makeppf3.exe and the 2 iso's in the same directory, for example i'll use c:\patch and my iso's are called clean.iso & patched.iso, i'm not sure if you know how to use dos or not so i'll explain everything

open a dos prompt (click START > RUN and type cmd) then type the following

cd c:\patch
makeppf3 c clean.iso patched.iso mypatch.ppf

it will now compare the 2 iso's and make the patch which could take a while depending on the speed of your pc, just make sure you use the correct names of your isos
