Too many penalties

Not sure how many of you will agree with me. Having played WE8 every night since its release, I 've noticed that there are just too many penalties being accorded. It is extremely rampant. I mean sometime a simple push will see the ref pointing to the spot.
I hope that in PES4, the ref will generally be less
lenient. A simple push in the penalty box perhaps an indirect freekick.

Also, I am not sure whether it is my controller or because of too many players in the goalmouth. Sometimes even with the square button fully depressed, my shot at goal sometimes lacked power. Under the player setting, I have set it as manual.

Despite the above shortcomings, I really love this game. Compared with WE7 or WE7Int, this game is the ultimate. Sure hope that PES4 will take care of the speed especially during corners.

i notice the penalties i have had a least 15 in a season where as on pes 3 i got about 1 every 3 seasons.

i thihk it is because the computer catches you a lot faster than on pes 3 in 1-1 situations so they try and tackle you from behind and the result is a pen and in most cases it should be a pen so its not so bad

I've heard about it in other threads, but I don't get that many penalties in 1 season, but fact is that I do get more penalties in WE8 than in PES3. I have no problem with it.

I'd have to agree that there are too many pens in we8, they give them when your player doesn't even go down (i guess this is for shirt-pulling). I played the same game twice in a row and won 1-0 both times and both goals were penalties.

Seriously, I am not too sure whether it is the way v dribble. I mean we could have given the defenders hell. This is the first time I was able to complete the dribble challenge (5 star) . I have not done this before in all previous editions. In fact I 've completed the dribbling challenge in less than 1/2 an hour.

Played my final ML Div2 match of the season. It was first Vs second and I had already won the league. It was set to be a close match..... or maybe not. I received 3 penalties, the first one was saved. I went on to win the match 8-0 (on 5*) which is my highest result in the game so far. An unexpected result. But I wasn't complaining as it gave me the top scorer for the league.

Yes, it is too much. As for the shooting, i dont know if im right, pressing r1 would weaken and lower your shots. Japanese words are similar to chinese and i saw the help mode(or watever u call it, it is in the pause menu i think) saying something like pressing r1 would weaken the shot...

It will slow it down, but only if you press it after pressing the "SQUARE", if you press it before it should increase the power of your shot.

I agree that there are too many penalties. In fact, there are too many fouls given in general. A perfectly reasonable shoulder charge often results in the player tumbling to the ground and a foul being given. This is a problem that existed in PES3 also.

There are a lot more penalties than PES3, but I thought they're wasn't enough in PES3. They're usually given to me if I try to dash dribble around a defender and he catches me. It is weird to get a pen when the player doesn't go to ground, but I've just started me ML having got it for Xbox on Thursday, so I ain't complaining, any goal is gratefully received.

I think the amount of penalties are ok, as long as the pk is deserved. Eventhough, there are so many fouls committed against me all over the field, and i dont get fks or pks for em.

on pes3 penalties that weren't penelties and were outside the box were given frequently, but it's the other way round, pens that were about 2 yards inside the box sometimes aren't given and there a large number of soft penelties given aswell.

For me,the penalties situation is abit weird. I seem to get an unnerving amount of penalties. At least 20-25 a season in all comps. In the wefa championship i played as roma on 5* and won 8-1, 7 of my goals coming from the 8 penalties i was awarded, i got 5 in the first 40 mins! Everytime i broke into the box i was being awarded penalties. I think players should be slightly better at riding a slightly off-timed challenge.
