Transfer Fees - Get Real

This is my first real critisism of the game. Completed my first season last night, and was offered £1.3m for Shimizu. Now whilst the additional finances would be welcome, and without trying to sound like Arsene Wenger, that was an unrealisitic offer. At the time of the offer, his overall rating was 83, and he's only 19 years old. In real life, someone that young with those stats would go for a hell of a lot more. My counter offer (I didn't want to let him go... but for the right price) was £10m, which was turned down. Next club comes along and offers the same amount (£1.3m), this time I tested the water and asked for £5m, which again was turned down.

Am I the one who is being unrealistic here? Or is the games pricing structure a bit wonky? My plan is to keep him and help me remain in the PL, and wait until his stats increase further until a better offer comes in. He wasn't happy I refused the transfer, but I think he'll get over it eventually.

Hi Steve,

The better you play, the more your players' value will rise. If your team is ranked 100th, your players will be a lot cheaper (and also their salary) in stead of playing with a highly ranked team.
Shimizu is a new/youth player, which never equalises the value of an existing player I think. But wait a few seasons with the sell of Shimizu and his value will rise.

I have no worries that his value will rise, it was more the unrealistic valuation that he is set at now. I appreciate the position of the club is taken into account, which is a nice touch, but it should also refelct the players ability.

I don't have the funds to purchase any new players at the moment, but have just pulled two youth players through the ranks. I'm hoping someone will bid for some of my dead weight soon too. I'll let them go for whatever just to increase my funds and decrease my wage bill. Then hopefully next season I'll be in a better position to purchase a couple of decent players, and even more so if Shimizu's value increases significantly.

Right now, it's weighted MUCH more heavily in favor of club performance. 81s and 82s on top-flight clubs will still demand $10M transfer fees, but for some reason I can swoop in and nab Belhanda, an 89 AMF, for the ridiculously paltry price of $700K, simply because he plays for a bad club.

Nice when it works in your favor, but the feature needs a little…tweaking…

I always skip a few days anyway. Anyone who complains gets benched.

Speaking of which, I tried to get Cinalton to play AMF, he is usually an LWF or SS. I only done it just to give me additional options in that area, but he complained about it everytime. I thought he would just get used to it and eventually adjust like some players do. Instead, he was permanently on dark red down arrow for the whole of the season. What a whingy bitch.

My suggestion would be to patch it with PES Edit 1.3 patch. It tweaks up all the changes in negoitiations, kits, real player names - everything you could ask for.

When i wanted to sign Nasri (who is around 83-84), Man City asked 24 m pounds lol. I decreased it to under 20 m . now thats realistic spending.

Fetching Messi will need more than 80 m pounds + salary expenses.:w00t

On a side note, why do you refuse transfers, Steve?

I just ignor them and let them fall through. Because if you actually refuse them then it triggers your player getting upset.

Ignoring them leaves everything fine.

At the end of Season 1 my Shimzu was 78 and didn't even get a 1 Mil offer. I know ML transfer fees are slightly fucked (way worse on 2011) but with the lack of funds you start with in the game, getting those offers take the piss

Then they'll come up to me saying why I didn't sell them and if I don't give them an answer, they'll just put their contract renewal on hold!

It is happening again
Do transfer get insanely high like they did on 2011?

I sold an 83-rated Muamba for about £45mil.

Basically, for anyone rated over 80, they wanted silly money.
