Transfer Problem

Could anyone tell me why one can transfer players from the English Premiership (eg. Jesper Gronkaer to Athletico Madrid,Paolo Wanchope to Malaga) but they don't appear in the Squad Roster when playing a match although they appear in the Squad Roster when Editing? How does one "enable" these players so that they are available in the teams they were transferred to like real-life?

The transfer problem only appears for English team to Spanish teams. For transfers from the opposite side (eg. Morientes, Pellegrino, Alonso to Liverpool, Pandiani to Birmingham, Candela to Bolton), it works fine. I would appreciate any info. Thanks in advance.

I've never heard of this problem before. It works the other way round for me; the transferred players are always in the teams during matches, but never in their new squad in 'edit player' mode.

You could just check to see if they are in the squads reserves, and then if so, make them a first teamer in 'edit team' mode.

i have the same problem as reyes, ie. if i want to edit maxi lopez i have to edit him thru river, in the edit mode, no thru barsa.

If they are in the reserves (yellow colour) they do not show once you start the match...
You must put them in the subs 'area' or as starting players in the team edit formation thingy.

But in the ML mode, they change the players again....Like in Barce, i moved new players, like Eto'O, to the squad and edit him to be the first eleven, but in the ML match, Eto'O became a sub...

That's at the discretion of the AI managers to decide. They simply don't think Eto'o is a first-teamer.

And it isn't a "problem" that players don't show up at their new clubs in Edit Mode, it's always been like that - throughout the PES series.

Players you transfer automatically go to the bottom of the list at their new club, which usually means they're in the reserves. Use Edit Team to correct this.

Thanks for all the replies, guys! Sorry, Nifty, I didn't mean for it to sound like a problem. This is the first time I am playing PES, so didn't know it occured for the whole PES series.

mo3aleM and Nifty are absolutely correct, you need to go into Team Edit and move the player up a couple of slots and then he appears.

Cheers.
