Transfers in offline ML

Having played the ML offline for a while now I'm beginning to realise the changed it quite a bit. The biggest change got to be the transfer system. In pes 2010 it was hard to sign players, I liked that you could sign players like messi or gerrard only if you kept trying and put a lot of effort in it. I remember I signed Gourcuff for 70 mil after chasing him for 2 years with inter. But those days are over. In my first half year with Inter I managed to sign Messi (12 mil), xavi (8 mil) and Forlan (5 mil) while they had 2-3 contract years left. I mean, thats just plain dumb if you ask me. But ok, since I never play as Inter or any other top team, it doesn't really affect me because I can just choose to NOT sign them.
What does affect me is when I try to sell one of my top players from a mediocre team (82 overall) I get very low offers. I only got offered like 200.000 euro for him, while he's at 82 overall. The prices seem to be way off this year.. Also I havent found any option where I can buy unaffiliated players, does anyone know where to find them?

Did you put your 82 overall player on any kind of transfer list? Because it may lower the amount o profit you can make with a transaction.

Did you try to negotiate the price up? If so, can you tell us what the AI is like with negotiations this year, as it seemed fairly dim-witted last time.

Try something like search - Group/team - unnaffiliated. Finally I get own pes 2011 tomorrow to see this out

IF the group is there I'm sure there is as well free agents.

And well as you pointed out when playing with inter, it's quite reasonable that the team has status very high and signing players shouldn't be that tough.. (Champions league title holders after all?)

Last year it was almost too tough to sign decent players when beginning with default players.. Even after winning Spanish league 1 and competing in CL, only a few "known" dudes were a possibility to sign.

EDIT: This is down to fact that your teams status in players eyes was the same as your team status in Uefa ranking list.. And you could climb the list only quite slowly when you begin from the bottom.. In real life for instance the mere fact that you play european football (Europa league, Champions league), will boost your teams status quite instantly in players eyes.

Also what at least used to affect in Pes2010 to players value as well was that is he playing on you (if so, easier to sell & get cash), and would he still develop.

All fair points really, I tried to sign some top players with a lower team and that didn't work. I never play as a major team but wanted to check out with Inter whether or not they made the signing of young talent easier. As last year I wasn't able to sign a 70 overall newbie having won the champions league 2 times. The good thing is that it is now easier to sign players. I don't even want a team with messi etc. so I'm just going to focus on the players that my team needs. I tried to sign some top players with a lower team and that didn't work.

And yeah I put the 82 overall guy on the transferlist and treid to negotiate a higher price. Didn't work though, I changed the transferfee to 500,000 but the team kept offering the 200,000. Tried to sell a few other older players nut it seems most clubs don't offer much for them.

I'm just starting one to find out how it plays and what the difference is between the normal and dynamic development. After daymos' OF with the championship I'll start for real..

No, you won't really need the update as the transfers happen quick anyway - i didn't so torres wasn't at chelsea but at liverpool however after half a season, he was with atletico madrid so negotiations are more busy and fake this year so it don't really matter
