[TUTORIAL] - How to change a team destination slot

Many people can't install the team exports they really want because they might end up conflicting with their OF and messing up players and edits.

On this tutorial, I'll be explaining how to properly change the team's destination slot - the slot which the team overrides and imports into - without messing up your edits. This way you'll be able to choose teams from different OF's even if they override the same team. You'll only need some time for every team you want.

I can guarantee this works since it's the method I use on my edits.

Read this carefully since I am not responsible by your own mistakes.

(1) - I recommend you set up a second playstation account for this, to avoid messing up any of your edits on your main account. After creating the account on sony website, create a second playstation user and log in with this new account. Then, start PES, apply updates, etc.

(2) - When you finish setting up your second account, go to edit section. At this point, SAVE the game and DON'T SAVE IT AGAIN UNTIL I SAY SO.

(3) - You can now import the team you want to change slot. Let it import to it's default slot. On "advanced options", check 2nd and 3rd boxes.

(4) - Go to the team and take pictures of game plan/tactics and player numbers (with share button, your phone, etc. whatever suits you). You'll need them later.

(5) - Now, in order to avoid having duplicate players, you'll need to search for the "in-game players" (the players already made by Konami that are already present in the game as free agents, for example, the players that got transfered or the national team players that aren't in any in game teams). To do that, you can do one of these things (no need to do both):
- a) Go to "Players" section and reset every player manually. Write down the name of every player which doesn't reset/change. Check created players section: If those who didn't reset aren't there, then those are in-game players. After that, import the team again (into it's default slot).
- b) Go to pesmaster.com and search the name of every player in the team. If you find them in PES 2018 database, then they are in-game players. Write down the names of those players (Personally, I prefer this method).
-- You can also check if those players are not duplicates. Go to transfer section and search for the name of the player, if there's more than one with the exact same name, age, position, etc. keep the one from Konami (the "original" one) and just reset/discard the duplicate.

(6) - After identifying the in-game players, go to "Transfer" and transfer them to the team destination slot you want to use. For example, if you have Bayern replacing PES United, and you want it to replace Almchendolf, you will transfer all the in-game players from Bayern/PES United to Almchendolf.

(7) - Now, go to the team destination slot you want to use and use base copy function to base copy every remaining player from one team to another.
- If you don't have enough players in the destination team slot, use "Create a Player" to create the missing ones and transfer them to the team.
-- To make this process easier and quicker, you can go to Competition structure and swap the team you're base-copying from with Arsenal, so it appears on the top of the menu. This only works with european teams.

(8) - After every player is copied, go to import/export section and export this team you just made (with the base-copied players). Then, use "Load", to load your previous data, before you started this proccess (this is why I said you can't save).

(9) - Now, import the team you just made and exported in (8). On advanced options, check 2nd and 3rd boxes.

(10) - Go to "import team" again, and import the original team export again (the one still on the original slot), but, this time, on advanced options, check 1st and 3rd boxes. DON'T CHECK 2ND BOX. This will let you choose the slot where you want to import to; Import it into the slot where you have the team with the base-copied players. Also, since you didn't check the 2nd box, it won't import the players (so it doesn't mess up your edits); Only the kit, logo, stadium, etc. So you don't have to do these manually.

(11) - After that, you have to go to "Team" and manually re-do the game plan and player numbers. That's why I said you to take pictures.

(12) - When you're finished with the game plan and numbers, check if everything is alright and then you can SAVE. Export the team with everything ready and import it into your main account, checking 2nd and 3rd boxes. It should be fine now :D

This tutorial was written for PES 2018 but it should work for PES 2017 too. The only thing that is different is that PES 2017 don't have 3 boxes on import advanced options, only the first 2; don't worry about it, just ignore the 3rd box instructions if you do this for PES 2017 (you still need to check the 1st or the 2nd when I say so).

I hope this was useful. If you see any mistakes or if you still have doubts tell me something.

Enjoy! :D

Thanks! this is a tremendous help. I will only add that before doing the base copying it helps to swap the team you imported with Arsenal (London) in the competition structure :) much easier to navigate the menus then.

I do that myself  but I forgot to write it in the tutorial

EDIT: I updated the tutorial with a note about this, and also another note about duplicate players.
Also, this tip only works with european teams. You can't swap a american/asian team with Arsenal, unfortunately.
