Helloo everyone in here..
I would like to ask if there is a way I can play against P1 in the seaon or cup mode?
I have two controllers, i use them normally in Exhibition mode, but can't play against P1 as i said in those modes!
In PES 6 is possible, but why not in PES 9 ?
is there a patch or a way to edit the .exe file of the game to enable this option?

Although I would believe that it should be possible I do recall some people asking for this option to be added in PES 2010, so I’ll try it tonight, but surely someone who knows might answer before I get back to you.

i remember playing champions league mode with my brother so i guesse it's possible to play 2 players in cup modes if that what you mean

Thanks for trying to help, But the Champions League mode you mean is the Exhibition CL match.. which is on the main menu..

no sorry mate cant b done its been like that since 2008 on the ps3 pure shite as u can do it on the ps2 well done konami again

If you are lucky enough to be gaming on PC, then you can use 'kitserver' to unlock the locked 2nd controller. I like to play CL with my bros whereby we choose teams and play as the opposition against each others main teams. Otherwise if you have a console capable of running copied DVD's, then the game can also be patched to this effect if you really wanted to go to the hassle.

But if none of the above applies then sorry but you will just have to look at Konami in disgust and weep at why these idiots would remove this feature from the game, thus sabotaging many a group of friends favoured video soccer entertainment format (those who havent already buggered off over to FIFA that is).

The same story goes for me with PES6.. But when i found that it was not available in PES8, i said, well, maybe this version is just a the pre-final version which is PES9, and thus, I hoped things change in 2009..
However, they haven't done anything about it, which is shame afterall! why changing something while you can improve it instead..

Anyway, thnx in advance for your help, But i would like to know in which way i can use the kitserver to do so!

Download the latest kitserver (8.12.....I think)

Extract to your PES game directory.

Download PES 2009 noCD patch version 1.2.

Replace your 1.4.exe file/crack (assuming your game is fully updated) with patch 1.2.

Run Kitserver, set exe to PES20091.2.exe (i.e. the noCD crack you have just copied into that directory)

Click 'UNLOCK CONTROLLER'.

Save

Play Multiplayer Capable League/Cup tourney pes with your mate/s.

this is the single biggest problem KONAMI with pes since 2006

Ok im at the gamecopyworld website but there are 3 possible files I could install 1.4multi6 nodvd fix exe
1.4multi6 +8 trainer
1.4multi6 +1 trainer

which file should I use? Or should I use the 1.2 one. I presumed you quoted 1.2 as this was the latest one available at the time you posted this message: If so which one? all three of versions above are also available with the 1.2

Also will the kitserver in smoke patch 1.75 be ok to use ?

But why is it important to play against your mate in a cup?
Just make a friendly match..

Even though it is possible to select more human controlled teams than 1. Then if you get in the same group or advance you can meet each other in the finals perhaps..

Because why does my freind have to wait for me to finish my game against CPU?

This way you play for the CPU so you can enjoy real competition against your mates as you play for the ai controlled teams beleive me this is SOOO much more fun and means u can play a season with 1-2 ..3 or more mates and have alot of fun especially with some beers and a spliff. Two freinds I know dont want to play season now as they dont want to play against AI for 2 reasons

1 AI is somewhat predictable and it cheats when it wants
2 Its boring having to wait all the time for your turn to come up as well if you are the one whose watching its much morre interesting to watch a game between 2 humans rather than the AI

Matt i really want to see if this works ive been wanting to do this since I found out to my horrer that the 2 player option had been left out :(

I have 1:7:5 smoke patch installed now but where is the option to:

its in KONAMI\pro evolution soccer 2009\kitserver\config kitserver 8 configuration tool then tick the option that says disable controller selection check

Lets just hope the 2010 game has this feature reinstated otherwise well have to wait for da smoke man or at least a new kitserver before we can put the feature to use once more
