Call me crazy but I think they made dribbling easier and long distance shooting less accurate. Only had about 5 games since update but I don't remember dribbling like that yesterday. So far dribbling is very Pes 2009 like now. I'm pulling off a lot of last second moves and also players don't get pushed off the ball as easily as before. Using same players with dribbling stats that didn't change btw.

Theoretically I think it's possible. Since you can install the game on the consoles now, they can put some coding in the install file. That way an update would be able to modify that coding. I'm not a computer programmer or anything, only know some very basic knowledge but that's how I imagine it would work lol.

It hasn't changed anything gameplay wise, its all cosmetic.

None of this should matter if they had released the game in a fit state, so the least they could do is sort a patch to sort some of the issues.

My bet is no gameplay enhancements AT ALL before the release of 2011.
Really hope im wrong, but this is Konami dont forget.

I'd like to hear from others about this as well. I swear I'm doing stuff with Kaka on a regular basis that just couldn't happen before. Dribbling is just a lot more responsive. I can toy with the ball close to the line and still keep it in play under pressure.

Yes, they may have amde a few cosmetic changes but the basic improvements are still lacking.

They should try employing someone at Konami who actually has a passion and understanding of the game of football and not just a techie!

What is everyones beef? what is suddenly so bad with this game?

Yes we know the refs are rubbish with some decisions (any one remember a certain france v Ireland world cup qualifier recently!!!!)

Also JUST DONT slide tackle unless your sure you stand a chance of getting the ball or face on to the opponent, this is also kind off realistic of the real game, except maybe more free kicks and not so many yelows flashed about!!! ( I guess they could tweek this in an option file)

I dont think its possible to change any game play with an update. Stats, graphics maybe tactics (basically anything you could change/tweek in options and settings your self in the game).

Over all it is a very good game with some small tweeks refs mainly it would be a great game

as for player names team names kits etc i dont give a **** about all that you guys just need an imagination all the players change teams on ML anyway, and its a bit anal if you need tham to look lifelike to the real players.

I bet after every one moans about the game....they still go home and play it!!

I think it might be tweaked stats on individual players, rather than an overall game enhancement.

I did notice Torres skipped by some players a little easier last night, but some of my other players seemed exactly the same.

I'm with the lot of you on this one. There's been no word of any gameplay tweaks in this patch but it's really weird cuz suddenly my game is as smooth and responsive as 2009 and ultimately more enjoyable.

Torres, Kaka, Rooney, the only thing improved was their shooting. Dribbling, agility, and response remained the same yet they dribble so much better for me now. My players used to be knocked off the ball like little school girls as soon as the cpu breathed down their necks, especially Berba with 85 balance. Now they hold up quite well, especially Berba lol who actually lost some points on dribbling but is like 100x better than before.

I hope someone else feels the same cuz I'm starting to question my sanity lol.

Game play is still the same .. BROKEN!
Why broken? Mainly button LAAAG! You have to wait 2-3 seconds before player acts on command. The refs, keepers we can live with. The LAG however makes game unplayable. That has been the most common complaint of most people I know (and on all pes forums)

We can not just overlook issues like we do every year (since PES 2008) and be grateful they issued some sort of patch the addresses some major aspects such as .. new style of socks, shorts, hair band or even Japan kit! Not even aknowledgment that they are working gameplay issue by Konami!

Did they even do beta testing before release?

Not sure what everybody was expecting but Konami said this was DLC and not an update as some have reported it to be! Hopefully an update will be out soon though!

If somone could answer this I would really appreciate it. Have they fixed the saving of tactics bug? does it remeber your lineups now when you load your stock data? I dont want to install any DLC as I have put all teams with their correct lineups now and it says it will reset this so will I miss out on any gameplay improvements? or are there not any?

Sunderland is updated. My mistake.

When I tried on friday it said I was completley up to date. Just tried it today and the download was there.

I thought it came out before friday, must of been after.

After downloading and applying the update, all my edit and system data was intact. But when I moved my hard drive to girlfriend's Xbox (play nice boys) it wouldn't load the update, my edit data, or my system data - getting an error message saying that it cant because its from a different version.

Anyone else get this problem? I did download the patch before the update.

I can only assume the 2 Xbox's are running different firmware, hence the issue.

To be honest i am loving this game, it just plays a brilliant game of football.
This may sound a little strange though because my game just seems to play a little differently since the update. I feel that the game plays a little slower for some reason, whether this has to do with the stats change of some players i just don't know.

I think the keepers for the most part are really very good, and the amount of games i have played there are only two or three times that i have thought , hmmm the keeper should have done better there.

I guess it was just a miraculous night where everything went right in Pes. My game is back to the way it was now lol. Such a shame cuz Pes was awesome that night.
