I got this update yesterday as well and what I def. saw was the ref was much improved. Before, even if you take down someone at the pk spot from the behind he won't whistle, now it's an automatic PK with a red card. Yellow cards are realistic just like in real football and so are the red cards. Depends which way you foul and how hard, very good job by Konami.

nice 2 see reina finaly has the ratings he deserves he's always been well underated on pes

Wow I didn't even bother checking him out lol. It's nice to see Arsenal and Liverpool finally getting some love now. Reina is finally a top GK and for all those people who complained about Masc for so long will be happy. He's so strong now. Insua, Kuyt, Benayoun got some nice little touch-ups and Gerrard and Torres are finally injury prone lol.

Also whoever said Higuain doesn't deserve 89 shot accuracy doesn't watch him. He's one of the best finishers in the world right now and easily the best on his team, which is why he's their leading scorer.

bunny I've been meaning to join that community. My psn is Trollnaldo I'll add you and join the community but not sure if I'll be able to play online tonight.

Lots of nice upgrades and nerfs all around the game and some better formations, but it's too bad Konami still don't have any common sense with regards to starting lineups. For example Wes Brown starts ahead of Rio. Yea we know Rio has been injured irl but get a clue Konami.

Weird. Can anyone confirm? All the BL guys still appear to be in my game. Many of the other "new" hidden/classics have been replaced with those traditionally present in older PES games, though.

I really wish Konami wouldn't completely remove players at all, just add. The more we have, the better, and some players who have become legends in my Master League campaigns are completely gone now. :^/

Idiots at Konami

Did you notice the info Konami sent about some of the players screwing up the game?

If you use Simao, Diego or some of the others on the list, the game may go haywire...according to Konami, it's because of their free-kick style. Their advice is to refrain from using these players or their teams until the problem is fixed...

A new update will be released later this week, to rectify the previous update. WTF?! :realmad:

What kind of amateur, preppy, low-cost, piss-ant business are the idiots running? I mean, the update is not alone crap, but it makes the game unstable. We only have a few good teams, thanx to the dumb-ass licensing problems Konami have been having for centuries now. And now we have to use even fewer teams?! Are you kidding me, Konami?!

Shame on you, Konami! I seriously think that we should consider protesting or even boycotting the game. Konami have been treating us like sh*t for too long...

2010.02.17 Sincere apologies for the inconvenience with the DLC

The DLC released on the 16th of February 2010 contained incorrect data, and some players' free kick motion do not appear properly.

When any of these players are used in a match, the game may not perform properly, and we would like you to refrain from using these players until the problem is addressed.

We are currently in preparation for releasing the corrected data which will address the problem once it is applied to the game, and we would like to ask you not to remove any game data.

We are making every effort to release the corrected data later this week, and the schedule will be announced once fixed.

We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused by this problem.

Anyways I only managed 1 match earlier and it still felt good. There's just an air of smoothness to the game now. Yesterday I also saw some animations I didn't see before. And I think fake shot feint got reworked and there's some different animations for them which looks jerky but at least it looks like a fake shot now. I didn't want to think too much of it because I figured if it was even possible for Konami to squeeze in more animations.

Then their apology notice showed up and it got me thinking. The game crashes now because Konami fucked around with those few players' free kick animations. This led me to believe that perhaps they didn't necessarily add more animations but that the game initially didn't use 100% of all the animations available due to bad coding, time constraints, or whatever. Is that even possible? Does this make sense to anyone else?

makes sense to me. If the update was just a roster change and stat adjustments, these problems shouldn't be happening.

Ok scratch that new fake shot feint. Turns out it's the same as before but I just didn't use it enough and the times I did it used some crap animation lol.

I confirmed with my own eyes though that dribbling is a lot smoother and precise. Here's how. I just went and deleted all my install and download data. I then logged into an old ps3 account with zero Pes files. Basically the game as it was when I just brought it home in November. Guess what? Dribbling was extremely sluggish, took forever to stop the ball using R2, and it was really tough to go dribble into the angle that you chose with the stick.

I tried 5 matches with different teams to make sure it wasn't fluke. I also tried a few matches right before I deleted all the data to imprint the game into memory for comparisons sake. Surely something must've changed. At this moment I'm installing the game to hard disk and doing all the downloads again. I'm almost certain that dribbling will be good again.

Just go youtube and watch an episode of Jett Garner on Pes where he talks about the update. He says Japanese people won't mention any gameplay fixes because of a pride and honour thing. The Japanese are very proud people and it is considered very shameful to release a half assed game so they will never admit to doing so but instead quietly work to fix the game. The words of Jett Garner. Take it or leave it but having some knowledge of Japanese culture myself I happen to agree with him.
